I watch as Mandy walks up to the ring, another huge guy stepping in to fight her.
"How long do you think it will last?" Killua asks.
"How do you mean?" I ask him, trying to hide the fact that I know just as well as him that she's an assassin.
"Oh, right. You guys don't know..."
I exchange confused looks with Kurapika. "How do you mean?" Kurapika asks him.
"She's from an assassin's family, just as I am," Killua answers honestly. Well, until here the anonymous Zoldyck family.
Leorio, Tonpa and Kurapika seems surprised. Gon just sits there. "You're still all my friends!" the happy boy says.
"You already said so," Killua says, as he flicks Gon's head. "You really are dumb, you know that?" Killua tilts his head at Gon, looking him in the eyes.
"Lets just watch the fight," Kurapika says, pointing at Mandy and the guy opposite of her.
Both have taken fighting stances. Her opponent charges at her, which she dodges in a smooth movement. She jumps up, fastening herself with her Nen. She turns mid-air, aims her feet at her opponent and a sudden boost makes it possible for her to literally squeeze his head below her feet. I've once had to work together with her family, and that's how I how her Nen works. Her Nen suppresses and releases air around her body, giving her a sort of jet-like ability. She can levitate and change ways mid-air. It's quite strong in combination with her already good fighting abilities.
"I guess I'll be up next," Killua says as he walks up to the ring. Mandy comes back, as they give each other a high-five. His hand burried in his pockets, Killua looks his opponent up and down. This guy also seems quite big, and stares down at Killua.
"This is no place for kids," he says, chuckling at Killua.
"A fight to the death, right?" he just asks, looking up at the guy.
"Don't surrender too soon," the guy says, as he gets into a fighting stance.
Though only seconds after the fight has started, it has also ended. Killua charges at the guy, forcing his nails to grow out to something which looks more like claws. He forces his hand into the guy's chest and rips out his hard. The guy pleads and begs for Killua to give it back, but the white-haired kid just stares at him with cold eyes. Until the guy collapses. Killua tosses the heart aside and walks back. "I bet dad could've done it without any blood."
I bet more people could've done it without any blood, even more, I know for sure Illumi and I are capable of doing so. But this is exactly what I must bring back, he still knows how to do it. He can still kill with a cold stare.
"That was so cool!" I exclaim, having to keep up the happy girl act.
"We need to decide who's going next. Leorio or Kurapika?" Gon mentions.
"Oh right, I'll go," Kurapika answers. He walks up to the rings, throws off his kimono and grabs his nunchaku, which consists of two wooden swords.
The fight is quite interesting. The guy standing in front of him must be the biggest up to now, with a weird blueish skin. He looks at Kurapika and grins. "A fight to the death?"
"Fine by me," Kurapika agrees, as he gets ready to fights.
The guy charges at him, trying to land a punch, though Kurapika jumps away. He manages to break a part of the stage, stone flying around. He definitely has a hard punch. Kurapika manages to blow a hit to him, though as he ends behind him, his eyes turn big and... red. Kurta red. Now I definitely know why Mandy is after him.
The guy turns around, and I immediately understand why Kurapika seemed so surprise. He has a tattoo of the Phantom Troupe on his back, the criminals who murdered the entire Kurta clan. The group Hisoka is part of, though I know for sure he's a fake.
Kurapika starts attacking him, going berserk on the guy, until he falls down, passed out or death. I can't quite examine it from this distance. Kurapika walks back, a shadow covering his face. I look at him, somehow getting worried about him. He must feel bad, right?
"My turn, I'll win too!" Leorio says, as he wants to walk over to the ring.
"If you step in, you're friend will be disqualified." We all look up in surprise. "It's not sure he is dead, until he really is, we can't say the fight is over."
All of us try getting Kurapika to move back to the ring, but he refuses, mumbling about the Phantom Troupe and him not wanting to kill such a fake.
"Why don't we make a bet?" Leorio suddenly yells. "If he's alive, we win, if he isn't you win. Though let me examine him."
They agree and Leorio walks up to the guy. He examines his eyes and heartbeat, after that he grabs the guy and holds him above the cliff. "If you're really death, I'll drop you. If you're not, you can save yourself."
This seems to be an eye opener to the guy and he quickly steps back, giving us a win.
"Well then, I guess it's my turn," Leorio says, as he stays in the ring.
The huge guy walks out, and a rather smaller woman replaces him.
"I'd like to continue betting, with time," she says. "The first one to lose all their time loses."
"Yes, of course!" Leorio yells.
I sigh and turn around, to focus my attention on Kurapika. I already know Leorio is probably going to blow it for us, so I don't have to watch it.
"Are you okay?" I ask as I sit next to him.
Kurapika looks up to me and nods. "My clan has been murdered by the Phantom Troupe, I'm sorry if I worried you... It's just a very sensitive subject."
"I understand, I'd think of it as a sensitive subject as well," I say as I smile. "Though it's the past, and dwelling on the past has never helped someone forward." I advice him.
He nods once, before going back to his thoughts.
