Alexa had spent the night in the dungeon and as the time to meet the alpha got closer more butterflies fluttered in her stomach. Stretching herself out she yawned showing her canines to some of the prisoners that were giving her unsavoury looks. Alexa started to groom her fur lapping up the dried blood and thinking about the months since she had separated from her sister.
Initially, it had been her, Elena and their brother Hunter. But Hunter had decided he wanted to join the army and had entered into a human town to enlist. Alexa had the split from Elena when it became apparent the didn't have the same goals. While Alexa wanted to fight her sister wanted to heal. Alexa was glad they had split up after all her sister had found her mate and she had her first pup. Alexa was hoping to meet the little werewolf soon. Alexa wanted to find her mate that was the whole reason why she was fighting.
Many male werewolves still thought she was weak and would not struggle. She had learned that while travelling among rouges she couldn't be slow to defend herself or to kill. And she had killed so many who had tried to hurt her. It was why her bloodlust overpowered her to the point of trespassing.
Looking through the dungeons Alexa noticed that there were three male rouges and a female wolf. The female though seemed to be part of this pack. Alexa wondered what she had done to get her landed in here. She didn't have time to ponder longer as the door to the dungeon slammed open and heavy footsteps approached. Alexa stood her full height and assumed a dominant posture to show whoever was coming was not about to get her to bend to their will.
The steps continued to get closer and closer until a man stood in front of her cell. Alexa assessed the man in front of her taking note of his tall stature and muscled frame. His Jaw was chiselled with a thick rusty brown beard. His hair was also the same rusty brown colour. But his eyes looked like pools of melting chocolate in Alexas eyes. Alexa felt their connection as soon as she looked into his eyes. He was her mate the one she was destined to be with.
"Can you shift?" He asked the sound of his voice deep and melodious.
Alexa looked around before sticking her jaws through the bars and tugging gently on his shirt. Knowing that if he knew she was his mate, he wouldn't want other wolves seeing her.
"Ah yes here," He said taking off his shirt and offering it to her.
Alexa took it with a quite woof to show her thanks. Before turning around and shifting letting her fur recede and her bones rearrange themselves. When Alexa was in her human form she heard a quiet growl behind her as she tugged on his shirt. No doubt he saw the claw marks on her hips.
Turning around she walked back over to the bars and looked the alpha right in his eyes watching with a smile as he stepped back as he realised their connection. Deciding to end the charade Alexa kicked the door of the cell and stepped out coming to stand in front of the handsome alpha.
"You could do that the whole time," The alpha asked dumbfounded having never witnessed a female with such strength.
"Of course I could, but I wanted to meet you and escaping would defeat the purpose of that" Alexa explained cracking out the kinks in her neck and check the scratch on her cheek that would leave a scar.
"Who are you," The alpha asked his chocolate brown eyes confused and intrigued and lust was swirling in their depths.
"I am Alexa Frostfang daughter of Nicholas and Greyson Frostfang. My uncle is Elijah Frostfang perhaps you have heard of my family" Alexa answered as she gathered the dry blood of her face and licked it off her fingers. Watching in delight as her mate gulped before he masked it under a stoic face.
"Nice to meet you I am Gabriel Black alpha of the Black Crimson pack" He introduced the harshness in his voice coming through thick as if he was scared to show emotion.
"Alpha why did you let the prisoner out" The Beta demanded as he rushed forwards.
"She is no longer a prisoner" Gabriel snarled as he grabbed Alexa by the waist and pulled her into his chest.
"Why she is dangerous, she was documented killing three rouges on the territory without breaking a sweat" The beta growled his eyes flashing in concern for his pack.
"She is not a danger to the pack" Gabriel argued pulling Alexa closer.
"How do you know that" The beta probed.
"Damn it Cory she is my mate" Gabriel growled the sound thundering through the dungeon rattling the bars of the cells.
"Forgive me, Luna, I did not know" Cory apologised but after he finished that sentence Alexa threw Gabriel's arms from around her and raced toward the beta punching him in the face. The punch sent him crashing into a wall with a thud.
"I will say this once and only once. I am an alpha and thus I will be addressed as such. If you make the same mistake again I may not be able to hold my anger" Alexa snarled as her body shook with rage.
"I'm sorry Alpha I didn't realise" Cory croaked as he got up and dusted himself off.
"Let's take this elsewhere shall we" Gabriel spoke before grabbing Alexa's hand and leading her out of the dungeon with Cory following close behind.
Alexa walked with her mate through the packhouse ignoring the curious looks of her mate's pack members. She followed him to the alphas office where they separated from the beta so they were on their own. Alexa was nervous as the sat together in the office.
The office was a spacious room that had bookshelves lining two of the four walls. A large mahogany desk with a brown leather chair behind it. There were also two dark brown couches on either side of the room and a coffee table in the middle of them.
"I am not a weak female and you will not treat me as such" Alexa growled to make sure her point got across.
"I do not see you as weak, I see you as a strong independent woman that I wish to care for and have care for me as we learn more about each other" Gabriel spoke before he stepped forward and place a passionate kiss on her lips.
Alexa moaned in pleasure as his hands tangled in her short red her and hers in his rusty brown her. They didn't battle for dominance and just felt each other as their mate bond began to take shape.
