Chapter 14

Gabriel growled under his breath as the light from window poured in and allowed him to see Alexa's injuries clearer. After the attack, she had collapsed exhausted and losing blood. Gabriel was surprised she was standing with how beaten she looked. He had slept a few more hours after the attack before waking up to make sure that Alexa was healing the way she should have. 

The night had been perfect before the attack, he had submitted to his mate and had loved every minute of it and then she had submitted to him. They had made love for hours until they had finally passed out. Gabriel now felt like their bond was truly solidified and unbreakable. 

"What time is it" Alexa groaned as she woke up.

"9 am darling" Gabriel offered as he tightened his arms around her his wolf growling with appreciation as her naked body pressed flush against his. 

He had taken the time to clean both their bodies of blood and grime and had then laid them back into bed. 

"There's no time to waste we have to call reinforcements" Alexa sated as she sat bolt upright knowing that she had to fight again. 

"Your amazing you know that you've just been in a serious battle and yet here you are a night of sleep and your ready to fight again" Gabriel spoke with amazement. 

"If we don't kill the threat we'll never get our happily ever after" Alexa sated seriously "Plus the only wolf I am bearing offspring for is you," Alexa said brushing her hands through Gabriel's black hair as his chocolate brown eyes bore into hers. 

"Don't say that while we're both naked in bed" Gabriel groaned as his desire for Alexa rose, quite literally making a tent in the blanket that was low on his waist. 

"Oh is the big strong alpha turned on" Alexa teased as she ripped the blanket away from him. 

"We can leave this, It'll go away on its own" Gabriel said as he tried to push back his desire. 

"Fine, once this is all over though no holding back promise" Alexa replied holding out her pinkie finger. 

"Of course" Gabriel agreed, joining their pinkies together and shake her hand. 

Once that was sorted they got out of bed and got ready for the day. After they were dressed the left the room and went straight to the kitchen where Cory was waiting. The beta was sitting at the table nursing a cup of coffee. 

"Alpha's I took the liberty of calling the frostfang pack last night and they agreed to help, they should be here any minute," Cory said as his alphas walked into the room. 

"Thank you, Cory" Gabriel replied as he walked further into the kitchen to fix him and Alexa some breakfast. 

A knock at the door made Gabriel pause before he cracked the egg in his hand. Setting it down he followed after his mate as she walked to the door. As she opened it Gabriel was surprised to see two male omegas holding hands. Behind them were beta and an alpha and twenty or so warriors. 

"My baby what happened to your face," The Dark blond-haired omega said as his blue eyes stared at Alexa with concern. 

"I'm fine Papa, it's just a scar" Alexa reassured the omega. 

"Alexa, your beta called what's wrong," the other omega asked this one had soft brown hair and green eyes. 

"We can discuss that over breakfast dad" Alexa replied as she hugged them both. 

"Wheres my hug" The alpha behind his mate's parents spoke. 

"Uncle Elijah, you came too" Alexa spoke shocked as the man approached her. 

"what about me," the beta said with a pout. 

"Uncle Brendon" Alexa laughed as the beta smiled at her. 

"Dad, Papa, Uncle Elijah, Uncle Brendon this is my mate Alpha Gabriel black" Alexa introduced as Gabriel looked at her for help. 

"It's nice to meet you son I'm Nicholas and this is my mate Greyson, that alpha there is my brother Elijah and this idiot is the previous beta of our pack Brendon," The omega with the soft brown hair said as he pointed to each man in turn. 

"It's nice to meet you all" Gabriel replied feeling more than a little intimidated by the four men in front of him. They were his mate's family and he needed to make a good impression. 

"Now that the pleasantries are dispensed with let us go inside to discuss the situation" Elijah spoke his tone now serious. 

"Right this way" Gabriel responded stepping aside for the four men to enter.

Once they had entered the frostfang warriors entered the packhouse each greeting Alexa with a smile and a nod. His mate had the respect of these warriors both the men and the women and Gabriel sighed. It had taken a few days for his entire pack to come to respect his mate. 

When everyone was inside Gabriel closed the door and turned to follow his mate into the kitchen only to be stopped by the blond-haired haired omega. Gabriel remembered that his name was Greyson. 

"My daughter seems to love you deeply, but if you hurt her I will castrate you myself. I know how to" Greyson growled sizing up his daughter's mate. 

"With all due respect sir I could never hurt her, she is my mate and I love her," Gabriel said lowering his gaze from the omegas, his wolf wanting to respect his mate's parent.

"Good, now let's get this battle meeting started," Greyson said happily before jogging to join Nicholas in the kitchen. 

Parents were scary thought, Gabriel, as he followed Greyson into the kitchen. Smiling at his mate as she offered him a sandwich. He was going to make breakfast for her but things don't always turn out the way you want them too. 

"We have called you here because our pack is being targeted by rouges whose leader wants to Kill Alexa" Gabriel said just to get it out in the open. 

"Why is he coming after her specifically" Elijah demanded wanting to know what a rouge would want with his niece. 

"I killed his father because the man tried to force himself on me. It seems the son wants to take revenge" Alexa stated softly. 

The snarls and growls of rage that filled the air had Gabriel stepping back. Each and every one of the frostfang pack members thought of his mate as a family and they didn't take to kindly to those who went after their own. 

Looking at his mate Gabriel saw her eyes brim with tears before she shook them away. 

"I'll kill the bastard myself" Greyson snarled no one was going to touch his little girl without her consent. 

"I'll be the one who kills him" Alexa assured with a growl before she threw up her breakfast. 

"Alexa honey are you okay," Gabriel asked as he rushed to her and picked her up in his arms. 

"Yeah, just a bit nauseous it will be of yesterdays battle" Alexa promised though she didn't believe it herself.

"I'm taking her to the pack doctor, my beta Cory will discuss strategy with you" Gabriel stated before running to find the pack doctor hoping that nothing was seriously wrong with his mate.
