Chapter 10

Alexa held in her snarl as the guard Christian rose to his feet with three other men. Alexa knew one of them because she broke his arm. But the other two Alexa hadn't had that much interaction with.  Turning her gaze to Gabriel a whine slipped from her lips at the pure betrayal in his eyes. 

"Why" Gabriel growled his voice laced with the pain of betrayal.

"You ask why, alpha" Christian said his tone mocking as he allowed his mask fall. 

"Yes Christian I ask why, you were a trusted guard and my friend" Gabriel stated his eyes flashing between his beautiful chocolate brown and the fierce gold of his wolf. 

"I was never your friend, Myself and the men standing with me were sent here a year ago to gain your trust and destroy the pack from the inside out, though it is taking longer than we had anticipated" Christian explained a slow smirk spreading over his face.

"Run" The word was snarled before Gabriel shifted into his wolf the intent to kill rolling off him in waves. 

Alexa watched as the four men darted out of the room and into the woods as her mate chased after them. He was lost in his instincts to protect and Alexa needed to be with him when he came out of the trance so he wouldn't attack the pack. 

"Elena can I leave the rest of the pack with you I'm going to help my mate to make sure the threat has been taken care of" Alexa stated looking over to her sister. 

"Of course Alexa, go to him" Elena answered with an understanding smile. 

Nodding Alexa shifted and ran after her mate. Following his pawprints, Alexa came across a clearing where Gabriel was fighting of the four wolves at once. Jumping into the fray Alexa bit down on the tail of one of the wolves that had jumped to attack Gabriel. 

As he turned to snarl at her Alexa let go of his tail and lunged for his neck. Applying pressure until she couldn't feel his breathing. Removing her jaws from his neck Alexa spit his blood onto the ground before snarling when one of the three remaining rouges pushed her onto her back. 

As he snapped at her face Alexa used her back legs to claw his sensitive stomach. giving him a wolfish smirk as his intestines fell onto her stomach. Pushing him off her Alexa pushed him down and ripped his throat out. Shaking herself out Alexa looked over at Gabriel to see it was only him and Christian still standing. 

Sitting down Alexa knew this fight was for her mate. Alexa whimpered as Christian caught Gabriel's front leg in his jaws, forcing herself to stay still Alexa yipped happily as Gabriel ripped his leg away from Christian before the fight turned ferocious. Teeth snapping, claws raking but there was to be only one winner.  

Her mate stood over his adversary as Christian took his last breath, his teeth dripping with blood as his body shook with residual rage. Gabriel curled his tail over his back as he howled his rage, dominance, pain and betrayal. Alexa joined him and their song danced through the forest bouncing off the trees and unifying them further as an alpha pair. 

"Gabe" Alexa whispered into her mind as she approached him.

"I'm good, I promise" Gabriel responded as he walked towards her and nuzzled into her neck.

"This is how you got your reputation isn't it," Alexa asked as she looked at the two bodies he had ripped apart. 

"Yes, I suppose you hate me now" Gabriel whimpered as his ears lay flat on his head. 

"I could never hate you, you did what you had to, to protect our pack, I love you Gabe" Alexa reassured nudging his head up with hers. 

"I love you too Alexa" Gabriel spoke stepping back and licking over her scarred cheek. 

"We should get back I left my sister and Noah in charge," Alexa said as she licked over his muzzle. 

"I suppose we should, but don't we need to get rid of this mess" Gabriel replied gesturing his head to the four dead wolves that were slowly regaining their human form. 

"We should have the pack take care of it to show them what happens when one crosses the alphas of the Black Crimson pack" Alexa offered with a low growl. 

"Ooo, I like the way you think my love" Gabriel laughed as his tail wagged slowly. 

"Should I tell them or should you Darling" Alexa chuckled as her tail started wagging too. 

"Can all able-bodied adults come to the clearing on the west side of the pack lands and get rid of the traitors remains" Gabriel ordered through the pack link.

"We need you to see what happens when you betray your pack, your family and your alphas" Alexa added through the pack link.

"Yes, alphas" The pack responded and paws were heard thundering through the woods. 

"Shall we get back to my sister and Noah?" Alexa asked as the first pack member arrived at the scene only to immediately throw up. 

"Sure, why not" Gabriel responded and the two set of on a run towards the packhouse. 

When they got there they shifted into their human forms, covered in blood they made it to the bottom floor shower and washed the filth off of their skin. After a quick round of lovemaking, they got out of the shower and dressed and then went looking for the other two alphas. 

As they entered the kitchen Alexa cleared her throat as Elena and Noah were pressed against each other making out. Noah had her sister pressed against the fridge. Jumping away from each other Elena and Noah gave apologetic smiles at Alexa and Gabriel. 

"Sister, I didn't see you there" Elena stuttered as she straightened her shirt. 

"It's okay Elena we're all adults here" Alexa chuckled shooting a wink to Gabriel who grinned at her.

"I have an Idea, while we catch up why don't you boys get to know each other" Elena said as she pushed Noah forward only for him to stumble before he straightened himself out. 

"Sounds like fun" Alexa replied as she walked over to her sister and joined their arms together. 

"Do we get a say in this" Noah asked as he adjusted himself discreetly. 

"No, you guys need to get along if our packs are going to be effective allies, Plus I haven't seen my sister in over six months we need to catch up" Elena explained smiling when both males nodded in defeat. 

Alexa watched her mate leave with Noah and turned to her sister and smiled. Elena smiled back it was time for girl talk and they would be talking for hours. After all, they had a lot to catch up on.
