Chapter 4

Alexa gently pushed the pup behind her with her nose before she turned and attacked the rouge who had gone for the pup. Ignoring the low whine from Gabriel Alexa bit into the scruff of the rouge who then shook her off snarling venomously. Jumping away from the rouge as he went to scratch her Alexa rolled under him and got a grip onto his sensitive neck. Alexa tightened her grip as the rouge struggled. Ripping out his throat blood sprayed across her face. Turning her attention to the other rouges Alexa curled her lip in a snarl as blood dripped off her teeth. 

Taking a step forward Alexa snorted as the four other rouges took a step backwards. Alexa heard the pack warriors coming behind the rouges and gave them a wolfish smirk. Giving a short warning bark Alexa gave chase. The rouges were unaware of the pack ahead fleed from the terrifying alpha female who seemed enjoy fighting and killing. The pack wolves were also thrown off by the ferocity of their alpha female. Though they subdued the rouges by rendering the invaders unconscious. 

"Get these four to the dungeons I'll be down to question them soon" Alexa commanded to the warriors before turning around and heading back to the orphanage. 

"Of course alpha" the gamma spoke into the pack mind as Alexa walked away.

Trotting back towards Gabriel, Alexa realised that she had left the body of the dead rouge for the pups to see. What if they were terrified of her now after just having watched her brutally kill a rouge, her wolf whined at the prospect. Stepping through the tree line apprehensively Alexa was surprised to be greeted eagerly by the pups. 

"Thank you for saving me alpha Alexa," The male pup said as he wrapped his human arms around Alexas right front leg.

"Your welcome little pup," Alexa said into his mind giving his cheek a reassuring lick. 

"Yeah alpha, Alexa, you're so awesome" Laura yipped in her wolf form wagging her tail in excitement. 

"You got that right Laura she is awesome" Gabriel spoke as he walked towards Alexa in his human form only wearing a pair of shorts. 

"They're not afraid of me," Alexa asked tilting her head as she sat down.

"Of course not, you've just proved that you can protect them. They love you already" Gabriel replied reaching up and wiping her muzzle of blood with the towel he had brought with him.

Alexa leaned into his touch as he wiped the blood from her face with the wet towel. Licking her lips Alexa sighed in relief when she no longer tasted the metallic signature of blood. 

"Alphas would can you round up the pups for lunch," Mary asked as she walked towards them ignoring the body of the rouge. 

Alexa huffed in agreement before going into the building to shift back and put her clothes back on. After dressing herself Alexa stepped back into the garden and help Mary and Gabriel round up the pups. Dressing the younger pups after they had shifted Alexa grinned as several of the pups hugged her in thanks. 

Would you like to join us for lunch alphas" Mary asked as the last pup went into the orphanage to get lunch.   

"No thank you, Mary, we are going to dispose of his body and then I am going to take my mate shopping" Gabriel replied with a small smile.

"Ok, alpha Gabe thank you for the gifts. See you next time" Mary responded before she turned and walked back inside. Turning when she got to the doorway she turned to wave at both her alphas before going inside properly.

Alexa walked over to the body of the rouge first. Curling her lip in disgust as he had shifted back to his human body after he died. Why were rouges constantly attacking her ever since she had killed the one that had tried to force himself on her?  Alexa sighed in frustration as Gabriel wrapped his arms around her. 

"You amazing you know that," Gabriel said as he caught the look of disgust on Alexas face. 

"Thank you" Alexa blushed crimson burning her cheeks as he pulled her tighter against him. 

"Let's move him and then I can take you shopping" Gabriel spoke releasing Alexa and going to pick up the body.

Alexa nodded and followed her mate to the edge of his territory where he threw the body into the pit. Next to the pit matches were tapped to a tree. Alexa watched her mate light one and throw it on top of the body. The flame started slowly before it engulfed the entire body. Alexa's wolf gave a grumble of satisfaction as a wolf who attacks a pup is a monster.

Alexa then followed her mate back to the packhouse where the beta and gamma were waiting for them. Alexa was surprised to see Cory looking at her with respect. As the man had seemed to be suspicious of her ever since he had seen her kill the three rouges on the territory. Though she was surprised that the gamma was a golden-haired female. She hadn't noticed when they were in wolf form as she had been too preoccupied.

"Alexa that's gamma Lindsey" Gabriel spoke into Alexa mind seeing the confused look on her face. 

"Thank you" Alexa responded turning to give him a small smile.

"Alpha Alexa the rouges have been put in the dungeon and are awaiting questioning" Lindsey reported calmly while keeping her eyes downcast.

Alexa smiled at the other she-wolf while the wolf inside her enjoyed Lindsey submission. 

"And Alpha Gabriel, Alpha Noah's and his mate Alpha Elena have sent you a message of thanks for the wolf armour you have provided. They included a well-drawn picture of themselves and their new son" Cory said as he handed Gabriel a picture. 

"Hey Alexa, alpha Elena looks like you" Gabriel stated as he gave the picture to her.

"That's because she's my twin sister" Alexa replied as she took in the image. 

Grinning from ear to ear at the image Alexa recognised her papa's brush strokes. In it, Elena and Noah were sitting on a couch while their son was in Elena's arms while Noah smiled at both of them. 

"It really is a small world, have you seen her since they had their pup," Gabriel asked wondering what it would be like if they had a pup of their own.

"I haven't seen her or the rest of my family in over six months but I'm glad to see my sister is doing well" Alexa replied as she turned over the image checking for any writing. 

'Thank you for providing amour for the recent battle we endured against the hunters, This is my mate Elena and our son Ezra. I hope we can set up a stronger alliance soon, signed Alpha Noah' The back read.

"Alexa let's get you some clothes and then we can call alpha Noah to tell them we'd love an alliance" Gabriel Spoke his tone radiating infectious joy. 

"Yeah sure but you better treat me to lunch" Alexa commented before following him to his car.
