Author's Note

Hello, everyone. So, this is my first time writing a story so I'll warn you ahead, this might get super long [like 182 chapters long]. On the bright side, most of the chapters are just between 500 - 1000 words so please bear with me. I'll try my best to make the story interesting.

The plot of this story is something I made by combining some aspects of the plots from many different animes, cartoons, TV shows and stories. Therefore, I would like to give credit to all of the references that I used in order to make this story line.

Also, to all the fans of the characters of the story, please don't give me any hate. Just expect everyone to be completely out of character. Also, I promise that most of them will have character development as the story progresses.

As I stated above, the plot of this story is a combination of aspects from plots of different animes, cartoons, TV shows and stories. Thus, I will issue a challenge here to all my readers. Any reader who can correctly guess one or more of the references I used will, at least, get mentioned and be recognized in one of the chapters.

In order to participate, just leave a comment on any chapter which consists of  what reference and which aspect was incorporated. (Example: Dragon Ball - the gathering of the Chosen is similar to the gathering of the Dragon Balls)

Once upon another time and another dimension, a newly-established joint kingdom named Hallyu was made up of more than 50 provinces- with new provinces joining the kingdom every now and then. Despite this, Hallyu was prosperous and progressive. Its citizens, though some were magic-users while some were not, were happy and satisfied. Peace and harmony ruled over Hallyu.

One might wonder who governed the whole kingdom; and that is actually a very valid thought considering rulers from more than 50 provinces shook hands and established a joint kingdom. At some point, one of the rulers must be itching to have total control over all of Hallyu. And yes, a few of the rulers, most especially from the Big 3 provinces, had those kinds of tendencies. But those intentions never bore fruit as the kingdom was to be governed by a select group of people. A group of people picked from the millions of citizens as per the ideals of the public, so-called "National Producers", along with the magic of the Seer or "the representative". A group of people selected for their innate goodness and unique personalities. A group of people tasked to govern the kingdom, protect its citizens and maintain peace and the balance of power. A group of 11 people known as the "Chosen".

The selection process for the Chosen was quite tricky and long. Each national producer will write, in a piece of paper, what he/she thinks is the ideal characteristics of a Chosen in a predetermined month. Afterwards, the kingdom's seer, as the national producers' representative, will gather all the papers, burn it along with selected magical ingredients and chant some kind of spell to select the Chosen. After the ritual, a distinctive mark, specifically an animal with any number from 1 to 11, will appear in each of the Chosen's body. Interestingly, the Chosen may or may not be a magic-user. However, once gathered and seated on the thrones with their specific number, the person with the number 1 mark serves as their "Center", but not the leader, of the 11.

So, not-long after the kingdom was officially established, the first group of Chosen were gathered. Naming themselves Ideal of Idol, or IOI for short, the first group of Chosen were composed of 11 women- 9 magic-users and 2 non-magic users. However, it was clearly recorded that while two of them were non-magic users, they were described as individuals with high intelligence and emerged as IOI's battle strategists. Finally, a woman named Somi was their center.

Through the governance of IOI, Hallyu was overall peaceful. They handled the threats of military the Big 3 provinces, who tried to take control of the kingdom. They made the kingdom prosperous. Everything seemed to be perfect right at that moment. There was just one tiny flaw. The first group of Chosen, IOI, was never meant to last.

10 years passed since IOI took on their duties, the Big 3 provinces consecutively launched an attack to disrupt the balance of power. Each of their strongest magic troops carried out their orders to disturb the peace within the kingdom. IOI responded to the threat and was barely able to subdue the threat of the Big 3 provinces for now. One might think everyone in the kingdom is happy because of IOI's triumph. Instead, the whole kingdom became shrouded with mystery and anxiety as after the battle, amidst a heavy downpour, IOI, the first group of Chosen, suddenly vanished into thin air.
