Accused's Alibis: Part 1

"Simple." Daniel took charge of the situation, "We need your side of the story."

"And then what? Report to our provinces that we're here?" Yeonwoo raised her tone.

"It has not yet been decided. However, it will all depend on your reasons as to why you suddenly went AWOL." Jisung explained, "If we see that your points are valid, we promise to only report what needs to be reported. Your location and other significant details will remain with us." However, worry was still evident in their faces.

"Please trust us." Jinyoung pleaded, "Why do you think it is only us here? As you can see, no other group is here with us. That is because even though they asked for our help in finding you and we know your locations after a thorough investigation, we kept your location to protect you until we heard your side of the story. No one, not even our escorts, Five-Sided Polygon, SVT and Mommymoo, knows about your location here."

"Fine, then. We will tell you our story and you will see as to why we need to be kept hidden here." B.I. finally agreed.

"We'll be the judge of that." Jaehwan said with a smile.

"So, how do you want us to proceed?" Daisy asked for procedures.

"We will interview you. The first ones will be Taeha, Daisy and Yeonwoo." Sungwoon was cut off by Taeha's voice.

"The three of us together?" Taeha voiced out, "Why?"

"Well, since you are from the same magical squad and province. Saves us a lot of time." Woojin defended.

"After the three of them will be Mina. Then, B.I., Wonho, and lastly E'Dawn." Sungwoon finished the sequence, "Now everyone other than the Landomom ladies, please wait outside. And please do not bother any attempts of escape. We will monitor you from here and, trust me, we can literally stop time if you do so."

The other four left the room temporarily. Seongwu was in charge of monitoring the other four through the door.

"So, let's get this thing started." Daniel was given the reins, "We will only ask one question. Then, the three of you will answer it comprehensively and in all honesty. There may be follow-up questions depending on your answers. And mind you, we will know if you're lying." The three Landomom members nodded.

"Why did you suddenly disappear without notice?" Daniel added, "We'll start with Daisy."

"In my case, it was simple. As much as I love my group mates, I reached the point where I want to live a simple life." Daisy started her explanation, "All of us here knows that being part of a magical squad means constant exposure to danger, especially now that the balance of power is broken. I don't wanna live in constant threat or danger anymore. I want peace. For that reason, I decided to leave the group, and, together with Yeonwoo-unnie and Taeha-unnie, we settled here on Neither province for protection."

"Just as we thought. Neither province is the perfect spot to hide. This province offers protection for refugees from their respective provinces." Minhyun confirmed their theory.

"I see. So, you're here because of personal reasons." Daniel summed up Daisy's story as he writes on a piece of paper, "Now, Yeonwoo."

"As for me, I didn't want to actually leave the province. But my reason is almost similar to Daisy's. To tell you the truth, I'm also tired of all the constant work of being a member of a magical squad. When I heard that Daisy was planning to go here, I decided to come with her." Yeonwoo elaborated, "However, after a while, I plan on returning to Emildy to officially resign from the squad and, instead, focus on other fields within our province."

"Okay, so you're planning to return to your province soon but you will quit being a member of a magical squad and pursue a different path. Am I correct?" Daniel summarized while taking down notes, "How about you, Taeha?"

"My case is totally different. Similar to Daisy, I want to quit as a member of Landomom. The pressure and stress were starting to get to me and I just want to be away from that life for now." Taeha stated her reason, "However, I plan to relocate to another province. I want to reestablish myself in another place and see where my life will take me."

"So, in your case, you want to be out of the magical squad and transfer yourself to another province to find to what really suits you." Daniel scribbled down on the paper.

"Basically, your province cannot force you to return once you get citizenship from another province. Why stay in Neither?" Minhyun pointed out.

"Well, I want refocus myself first and I feel that it's not yet the right time. Also, Daisy and Yeonwoo-unnie helps me decide on stuff." Taeha confessed.

"Ok. Thank you for that. You may leave this room now and wait outside." Jihoon mentioned, "Also, please call Mina for us."

The three Landomom members exited the room and replaced by Mina of Angels Ace. She sat on a chair and waited for the interview to start.

"Ok. Mina. Same question as the three of them. Why did you suddenly disappear without notice?" Daniel started another round of interview.

"Well, I personally just want to be out of both Angels Ace and Iffincy. Being a member of a magical squad was already becoming too much for me and I decided that I already had enough. I just want a simple life away from the spotlight."

"So, basically you're saying that, you just want to be out of the group and you don't want your province to hold you reliable." Woojin clarified.

"More or less, yes." Mina confirmed.

"Anything you would like to add?" Daniel asked to which Mina shook her head sideways, "Okay then. Thank you for your time. Please tell on B.I. to enter when we call for him. We want to take a break for a few minutes."

Mina nodded, confidently stood up and left the room. Meanwhile, the Chosen Squad breathed out. It already took almost two hours to interview just half of their interviewees.

"This is taking longer that I expected." Daehwi whined; his head on Jinyoung's shoulders.

"We have no choice, Daehwi. We have to do this. Think of this as our exercise when we perform our duties as Chosen." Jisung encouraged.

"I understand. I just hope our future duties will not always be as tedious as this one." Daehwi mumbled.
