Demoralizing Disempowerment

The rest of the Chosen Squad hid themselves behind Sungwoon who was raising a replicated force field. But Sungwoon knew they were in big trouble. The last time he tried stopping an X-Con attack with his replicated shield was against X-O; and as far as Sungwoon can remember, it did not end quite well for him. With two offensive X-Cons speeding toward them, it would be near impossible for Sungwoon's shield to be able to withstand it. He closed his eyes, waiting for some miracle to happen. Finally, the two X-Con attacks made contact with Sungwoon's shield and, against all odds, his shield withstood the attacks.

"Wow. My shield worked!" But Sungwoon did not entirely believe what he said, "Yet somehow, the impact felt less powerful than Exoplanet."

On the side, both Wheener and Plackbink could not believe their X-Con attacks were easily defended.

"How could that be?" Jennie exclaimed, "Even Jin and D.O. had a hard time defending against that!"

"I did that." A voice from behind the Chosen Squad said. Stepping into the light, it was revealed to be Woojin.

"Hyung did that?" Kuanlin was confused as Woojin approached them.

"You guys need any help?" Woojin asked with a smile.

"Absolutely!" Jisung responded quickly.

"Why you, insolent brat! Prepare to taste the wrath of Whygee's squads!" Jisoo shouted.

"You haven't seen my tricks yet." Woojin confidently answered back.

Meanwhile, Jinu and Jisoo launched a double ice blast which was easily countered by Jinyoung's fire. Sungwoon shot some lightning but Yoon nullified it with his flame. Jinyoung quickly hurled some chunks of earth toward the enemy. Jennie simply pulverized the chucks with her sound waves.

The battle raged on for quite a long time. Jisung, Sungwoon and Jinyoung were holding their own against one of the Five Pillars and their compatriot squad.

"Is it my turn now?" Woojin stepped forward and smirked, revealing his snaggletooth.

Intimidated by the Woojin's confidence, Mino instinctively activated his force field, shielding everyone behind it. Woojin was certainly amused by the reaction that he got from the other side.

"X-Con: So-So!" Yoon and Jinu chanted again.

"X-Con: Boombayah!" Plackbink, once again, used their trump card.

"Oh no, you don't" Woojin quickly interrupted yet remaining completely still.

Just a couple of seconds faster, Woojin released a burst of energy toward Plackbink and Wheener. As the wave hit Mino's shield, it deactivated. Furthermore, both Wheener's and Plackbink's X-Con techniques did not activate.

"What just happened?" Mino tried activating his power against but to no avail, "I can't access my power."

"I can't shoot fire, either." Yoon claimed.

"My invisibility is not working!" Rose panicked.

"What's the matter, huh? Lost something?" Woojin mockingly talked to Wheener and Plackbink, still a smirk evident in his face.

While Wheener and Plackbink were distracted by what seems to be a power loss, Jisung took the initiative to fling them with his telekinesis. Plackbink and Wheener were thrown backwards, some crashing with different objects.

"Let's retreat for now. We have no idea what we are up against." Jinu boldly suggested.

Wheener and Plackbink followed Jinu's idea. This time, somehow, Hoony was able to teleport Wheener out and same went with Lisa and Plackbink.

"Thanks for your help, Woojin." Sungwoon was totally grateful.

"But you didn't tell us you have a power." Daniel nagged.

"Well, you never asked." Woojin simply replied.

"Let's go inside. I will tell you the whole truth about me once we get to your room." Woojin solemnly promised.
