Nothing. Absolutely nothing was left but smoke on the spot where Kuanlin and Seonho once were. Jisung and Daniel could not believe with what they saw. Kuanlin and Seonho just vanished like air. The Bulletproof Scouts, however, celebrated their demise and were laughing maniacally.
"That is what will happen if you don't surrender to us." RM declared.
"Take a look at what happened to your friends. They returned to ash." Suga added.
Jisung, on the other hand, was feeling antsy instead of grief. He was confused about something and Daniel took notice.
"Something wrong, hyung?" Daniel asked Jisung.
"I know it sounds weird but I felt a slight power surge inside me." Jisung said.
"Power surge? How could that be?" Daniel wondered.
As if on cue, the answer to Daniel's rhetorical question manifested itself. Kuanlin and Seonho reappeared, in sparkling golden lights, on the same spot where they were last seen. Kuanlin was in perfect state while Seonho was unconscious. Both parties were dumbfounded but not as much as Kuanlin when he opened his eyes. Kuanlin thought they were done for. There was no way they could have survived that powerful attack. But one peculiar thing caught his eye; something was glowing. He looked down and unfastened some buttons of his polo shirt, only to find out that the middle of his chest was shining brightly. It was a chick and the number 7. Kuanlin had the mark of the Chosen. The Bulletproof Scouts was taken aback by Kuanlin's mark. It was their first time seeing a Chosen and his mark.

"Kuanlin? You're a Chosen?!" Jisung was doubting what he was seeing.
"As it turned out, yes." Kuanlin answered with a smile on his face.
"So, it is true, then. The Chosen are still alive." Jin remarked from their position.
"Seeing is believing. Wanna take a closer look?" Kuanlin retorted, showing his mark to Bulletproof Scouts.
"In that case, we just need to finish what X-O failed to do 11 years ago." RM claimed.
With those words, RM fired another beam of concentrated fire and directed it to Kuanlin. Kuanlin, a quick learner, hastily held onto Seonho and teleported both of them before the attack could land. At the same time, Jimin, Suga and Jungkook launched attacks toward Daniel and Jisung. This time, Jisung managed to redirect their attacks with one single gesture, instead of three.
"Woah... That was new. How did you do that?" Daniel remarked, half-amazed, half-baffled.
"I told you I felt a power surge. It must be because of Kuanlin. His reawakening as a Chosen must have strengthened my power." Jisung deducted.
Out of nowhere, Kuanlin and Seonho reappeared in the back of Jisung and Daniel. This time, Jisung counterattacked with his telekinesis but Jin was able to shield it. In retaliation, all members of Bulletproof Scouts with offensive power threw everything they got toward the four.
"Whatever you're thinking, Kuanlin, I need you to do it now." Jisung urgently told Kuanlin.
Even before the attack got near them. Kuanlin was able to teleport the four them out of harm's way; but not before smirking at the Bulletproof Scouts at the last seconds to taunt them. It certainly worked, though.
"Noooo! I'll get you next time!" RM screamed to the air as the Bulletproof Scout continued to eradicate the Lai mansion.
Kuanlin managed to teleport to the place where he knew his parents were hiding. It was the living room of Five-Sided Polygon's official residence, Universe. Mr. and Mrs. Lai were happy, albeit a little astounded, to see the four of them teleport in.
"Oh, thank God you're all safe." Mrs. Lai was relieved.
"Mom, Dad, I have something important to share with you." Kuanlin pointed to his chest using his right pointer finger so that his parents can see.
All that was heard was the shrill shriek of Mrs. Lai.
