Anticipated Attack

Meanwhile, the Chosen Squad arrived at the capitol building. They were expecting some guards, but were quite surprised when there was none at all.

"Where are the guards?" Jinyoung wondered.

"Maybe they concentrated their forces back there." Jaehwan deduced.

"Well, this is more advantageous to us, then." Sungwoon said.

When Minhyun was about to open the door, he got a premonition. His teammates stared at him curiously.

"What did you see, Minhyun-hyung?" Kuanlin asked after Minhyun reopened his eyes.

"We're going to get ambushed when we open this door." Minhyun relayed the contents of his vision.

"Well, if that's the case, allow me to open the door from afar." Jisung volunteered to open the door while all of them stepped back to avoid the ambush attack.

With just a flick of his fingers, Jisung opened the door with such force that the door slammed the wall hard. As expected, the moment the door flew open, thermal, plasma and energy balls came flying. Thankfully, with the help from Minhyun's premonition, they were unharmed.

"Those powers..." Sungwoon noticed, "It must be..."

Sungwoon's hunch was right. Out from the darkness appeared Bulletproof Scouts.

"Well, well. It seems like someone escaped from our trap. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." RM said in a displeased voice.

"You again?!" Kuanlin was now seething with anger.

"So, came back to reclaim your province, eh?" Suga teased.

"Yes. And we could either do this the easy way..." Kuanlin challenged, "Or the hard way."

"Wow. How intimidating." J-Hope chuckled.

"Unfortunately for you, we now know most of your powers." Jin revealed, "Telekinesis, Sparkling, Telepathy, Healing, Premonition, Conjuring Elements, Chronokinesis, Power Negation, Empathy... As for you, we still haven't got the information about your power." Jin enumerated while pointing who possesses what.

"How did you know?" The Chosen Squad was taken aback with the information the Bulletproof Scouts acquired.

"We told you. The Five Pillars always finds a way." Jimin cryptically said.

All of a sudden, the Bulletproof Scouts began attacking relentlessly.

"You cannot fully negate our powers once activated, am I right?" RM stated.

With the sudden attack, Sungwoon had no choice but to raise a shield.

"Jihoon-hyung, do not use your powers. They don't know about it yet. Stay at the back." Woojin instructed, to which Jihoon obeyed.

A full-out attack raged between Bulletproof Scouts and the Chosen Squad. Suddenly, a huge explosion stopped them temporarily.

"It must Five-Sided Polygon and Geefreend. I hope they're alright." Kuanlin thought.

With the Chosen Squad distracted, the Bulletproof Scouts took the opportunity to launch their special move.

"X-Con: Fire!" Bulletproof Scout exclaimed.

However, same as before, Woojin weakened the attack for Sungwoon's shield to hold.

"As expected... Everything according to plan." RM suddenly spoke form behind them, together with J-Hope, and launched streams of fire from both of his hands.

"This is bad." Sungwoon is unable to move his shield because Suga, Jimin and Jungkook was attacking them from the front relentlessly; Jinyoung and Jaehwan were also busy redirecting and countering most of the projectiles.

With no other choice, Jihoon raised his hands and activated his power so efficiently that RM's powers went straight to Jimin, Suga and Jungkook which rendered the three unconscious.

"What the..." RM and Jin got surprised with the unforeseen power.

"Well, I guess it's better for me to introduce my powers personally than to have you hear about it from your spies." Jihoon confidently announced, "My power is Deflection. You fight me?"

"Deflection? That ultra rare ability only given to one person per generation?" V uttered, "The ability to deflect all powers?"

"Yup. So, try me, fools." Jihoon taunted.

Jihoon noticed V flick his fingers, thus he raised his shield. Suddenly, V flew backwards.

"Wah... What just happened?" Jin was confused.

"He tried to use his power on me. I deflected it. Sorry." Jihoon chicly answered, "So, are you going to hand us back this province? Or do you want a taste of our X-Con technique? We are gearing to use it, you know." Jihoon added a well-formulated lie for good measure.

"You developed an X-Con technique?" J-Hope nervously muttered.

"Wanna see?" Jihoon replied with sass.

"Fine. We will leave Kyuub. It's yours once again." RM ultimately decided, since they were down by three members, "But be warned. We will have our eyes and ears on you."

The Bulletproof Scouts retreated, a sign that the Chosen Squad was successful in taking back Kyuub Province from the hands of Hitbig.
