Gratuitous Get-together: Part 2

The Chosen Squad arrived on the 9th floor and rang the doorbell. Kuanlin's mom opened the door with a very big smile on her face.

"Good, You're here." Mrs. Lai welcomed them with an even bigger smile, if that's even possible, and ushered them inside.

"Is something the matter, mom?" Kuanlin was taken aback by his mother's actions.

"No. None at all." Mrs. Lai spoke in inconsistent tone of voice.

"Mom, are dad and Five-Sided Polygon here already?" Kuanlin was already getting suspicious.

"No. Uhm... They said they will be late." Mrs. Lai answered with a see-saw intonation.

Just as they entered the dining area, something popped out of nowhere. The Chosen Squad ducked out of reflex. When they opened their eyes again, they saw everyone was immobile and that the popping sound they heard was just the party poppers.

"Hehe... Sorry. I just can't help it when I get surprised." Seongwu claimed responsibility for the immobilization.

"How dare them play tricks on us." Kuanlin was annoyed.

"Relax, Kuanlin. It is just a surprise." Jisung tried to soothe Kuanlin.

"Well, I don't like it. They just lied." Kuanlin definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed, "Everyone, can everyone please hold onto me?"

"Why exactly?" Sungwoon asked but they all complied to Kuanlin.

All of a sudden, Kuanlin sparkled the Chosen Squad so that they were behind Mr and Mrs. Lai and Five-Sided Polygon. Everyone was confused as to why they teleported.

"Uhm.... Kuanlin, why are we behind them?" Woojin was anxious about what Kuanlin was thinking.

"Whatever you're thinking, please don't do it." Minhyun pleaded, "Sungwoon-hyung, what is he thinking?"

"Well, I just want to play a prank as well." Kuanlin hinted with a little evil smirk, "I would like to see how they react when we suddenly disappeared in front of them and reappeared behind them."

The Chosen Squad shivered at Kuanlin's current state. It seemed to them you should not mess with an angry Kuanlin.

"Seongwu-hyung, if you don't mind, please." Kuanlin requested.

"O-o-okay." Seongwu stuttered.

When Seongwu deactivated his powers, Kuanlin's parents and Five-Sided Polygon were surprised when The Chosen Squad vanished. But then their attention was caught by the sound of someone clearing his throat behind them.

"So, you really think you can prank us, huh." Kuanlin's voice was definitely filled with annoyance.

"We just wanted to surprise you because, after all, you have new members that we haven't met yet." Mr. Lai explained. He knew how his son was when annoyed.

"Really? And you, Five-Sided Polygon! I have high expectations from my direct seniors!" Kuanlin faced Five-Sided Polygon.

"We were just trying to celebrate your return, Kuanlin." Wooseok, Kuanlin's favorite member, tried to use his charm on Kuanlin. They also had an idea how dangerous an annoyed Kuanlin was.

"This is such a disrespectful act against us. As a member of the Chosen, I hereby sentence you to punishment." Kuanlin decreed.

"Uhm... Kuanlin, we are not that type of a group, remember." Sungwoon chimed in, "Just because we have the authority does not mean we can just use it recklessly."

"Don't you all agree with me?" Kuanlin turned his fellow Chosen.

"Obviously, no." Sungwoon stated his stand.

"I disagree as well." Woojin voiced out.

"No, I don't" Daehwi replied.

"I disagree, too." Seongwu mentioned.

"Completely disagree." Jisung commented.

"Sorry but I do not agree with you either." Jinyoung told Kuanlin.

"Even I as well." Minhyun seconded Jinyoung's response.

"Even though I am not an official member of the Chosen, but I personally disagree with you too, Kuanlin. There is nothing to be angry about. They just want to have a celebration." Daniel intervened, "Thank you everyone for your warm welcome.

"I am not done yet. And I don't care if you don't agree with me." Kuanlin snapped.

"Oh, just zip your mouth right now." Daniel sharply retorted while raising a finger to Kuanlin.

The moment Daniel said it, Kuanlin's mouth literally became a zipper and tightly closed itself. Kuanlin tried to pull it open but it wouldn't budge at all.
