This will be the backstory for the illusions and a few other things I feel like I need to clear up.
Before the First Day of Middle School
(Y/N) Point of View
I was in my room one day reading "The Young Elites" when all of a sudden I could see these threads in my room. I hesitantly reached out for a few of the treads then I saw something move in the corner of my eye. I pulled on more of the threads until the turned into a rose. It didn't have a lot of detail, it seemed like something a kid would draw. But it was there and it wasn't real. After a while, I let go of the illusion before flopping onto my bed. I'm like a heroic version of Adelina then, I thought.
End of backstory
Now for the explaining part. So first the reason why the illusion quirk wasn't used earlier is because the limits of them were unknown. Also since Present Mic is around (Y/N) knows English, which will be shown in future chapters. There are books written in English since Present Mic buys them for her to practice reading English. She watches Disney to be able to practice hearing the English and be able to translate it. Before the illusion part of the quirk was discovered, the topic would be changed or the lie about the wind control quirk. The wind control quirk is the mom's quirk. That one is used since there is a steady supply of a quirk to use. That's all I have to say I think.
