Ruby was not feeling well one morning. Her boyfriend Iain moved in as he saw his girlfriends face being pale.

Josh and Penny said" Rubes you Ok sweetie tell us." Ruby said" might have Acute myeloid leukaemia or AML for short."

Josh said" Ok let's take you to hospital." Tina examines Ruby and said" it's definitely AML but we can start treatment right away of you wish or discuss it first."

Iain said" I don't want Ruby to die young we agreed to get married and have kids of our own one day also she's very young." Josh found Tina and said" Tina I think Ruby needs treatment now."

Tina nodded as Sunny took Ruby up to a special room dedicated to her. Iain sat down as Ruby said" I'm very sorry Iain." Iain said" Ssh we'll help you."

Faith came up and said" Hi my name is Faith Cadogen and I'm a Advanced clinical practitioner so I'll be looking after Ruby." Iain nodded and held his girlfriends hand .

The specialist came up and said" Hi my names Simon and I'm gonna take you through the treatments as there are two treatments. First of all induction – this first stage of treatment aims to kill as many leukaemia cells in your blood and bone marrow as possible and treat any symptoms you may have and secondly consolidation – this stage aims to prevent the cancer coming back (relapsing) by killing any remaining leukaemia cells in your body."

Josh said" Do it now please I need my little sister to live." Simon nodded and began the treatment.

Iain, Penny and Josh stayed the night with Ruby as Ruby was sleeping peacefully. Josh tucked his little sister in and said" I don't wanna see Ruby like this Iain wish life wasn't cruel."

So many weeks later

Simon walked in with the results and smiled saying" the treatment was a success and Ruby hasn't got it any longer." Ruby said" What does that mean?"

Josh said" the treatment was a successful also you don't have the cancer cells anymore how exciting." Ruby smiles and nodded as Iain said" Well done for fighting this horrible cancer."
