BELLA

Zach had begun to spend a lot of time in the apartment. He was there when I got back from work and the weekend after I met him, he spent the entire Saturday with us. I was used to spending so much time with Stacy that it was weird at first, but after a couple of days, I started to grow fond of Zach. He was playful and funny, he told jokes while he watched cartoons with Stacy and she would tip her head as she laughed with him. It was nice to see her happy and comfortable, with someone who wasn't me.

I found out Zach worked in an Advertising firm in San Francisco and was visiting his sister in Michigan for a few weeks when he met Stacy. This was one of the reasons why she wasn't so enthusiastic about moving too fast with him, because she knew that although he made her happy, he would have to go back to living his life at some point.

"Okay Bella", Zach said, "tonight is all about you"

He grabbed me by the shoulders and pushed me forward, "you pick a movie for us to watch tonight before I head home"

I groaned, "I'm tired honestly. Work was a bit stressful today"

He stood in front of me and pouted, "you're going to bed early then?"

"No", I said quickly.

I hadn't told anyone but last night, I think I saw Wade in my dreams. He was standing by the beach, gazing at the ocean. The golden light from the sun rested on his face and his hazel eyes sparkled as he smiled at me. He didn't speak when I smiled back. We just turned to stare at the ocean again.

I wasn't exactly looking forward to sleeping if I was going to see Wade while I slept.

"Fine, I'll pick a movie", I said.

Zach grinned, digging his hands into my hair and ruffling it. The remnants of water left in my hair after my shower splashed around and I squeezed my face and closed my eyes.

He was laughing when Stacy walked out of the kitchen. "Stop bothering Bella", she said.

Zach smiled at her. He always seemed goofy and playful but I noticed that sometimes, when Stacy wasn't looking or when she would laugh, or say something totally random, his face would soften and he would smile and slow down his movements like the world seemed to go in slow motion when he was with her and he was just moving along with it.

There was a knock at the door, "That must be the pizza, I'll go get it", she walked away.

Zach turned to me, "so what movie?"

"I don't know. What kind of movies do you like seeing?"

He opened his mouth to reply but then his gaze left my face and went above my head.

"Bella?", Stacy called.

She closed the door as I turned around. Micah stood next to her, his hair was tousled and his cheeks were flushed.

"Micah", I said, "what are you doing here?"

Stacy glanced at the both of us before walking towards Zach.

I walked towards Micah, "what are you doing here?", I asked again in a low tone.

"You forgot this in my car", he handed me a folder I was supposed to hold on to for Aaron.

"Oh my God, thanks", I took it from him, "how did you know this was my apartment though?"

"I asked a woman I saw downstairs"

"Oh"

He smiled. He was wearing a baby blue shirt with a picture of the Eiffel tower on it with a pair of black jeans; the most casual I'd ever seen him in. He chuckled and I frowned at him.
