Prologue

"I...I do." Kevin answered. Alam kong pareho naming ayaw sa nangyayare. Were both victims of this freaking Chinese traditions. Can't we just run to our loved ones? Can we just runaway from this bullshit?

FLASHBACK

"The school festival is coming very soon. I know for sure na it will be successful." Josiah wiggles his brows at habang nasulyap saken habang nagda-drive siya para ihatid ako pauwi. Josiah's my boyfriend for already three and a half years and always getting stronger. This relationship is for keeps.

"Ang hangin mo. And besides, how did you say that?"inirapan ko siya habang natatawa ako. Josiah and I met when we were first year high school and after Christmas break nung first year siya nag-start manligaw saken but I was not really interested but he decided to continue. The courtship was for three years and walang sabit yon, Josiah's very loyal. Sinagot ko siya when we graduated.

"Of course I am very sure kase girlfriend ko nag-organize edi siyempre very successful yon. Swear baby." He says and smiled at me pero nag-iwas ako ng tingin because I know my cheeks are burning red. Damn Josiah!

"Whatever you corny ass." Tinawanan niya lang ako na parang baliw. It's true, I'm the one organizing the upcoming school festival because I am the College Student Government Or CSG President since first year. Kahit nung high school ako, ako din president. Josiah's the team captain of our school, Westbridge University's basketball team. Siyempre kasama ang barkada niya don. Nag-asaran at nag-kwentuhan lang kame hanggang sa nakarating na kame sa tapat ng bahay and I heard him sighed kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.

"Ito ang ayaw ko pag nagdadala ng sasakyan, the time is too short and fast. And it just means that I have to leave you here and it sucks, bigtime." Napa-ngiti ako sa sinabi niya. Josiah with his cheesy lines, damn. This is just one of the reason why I love this man so much.

"Snap it, pag nagkita naman tayo bukas you don't need to worry, cos I'm still yours." I hate cheesy lines but I like to assure him. I love this man, come what may. Napa-ngiti siya sa sinabe ko at kiniss niya ko sa forehead ko.

"Bumabanat na baby ko. Pasok ka na di na ko makaka-baba hinihintay ako ni Mommy sa bahay" i nod and looked at him and say goodbye. Pumasok na ko sa loob but I immediately get my phone.

Sinalubong ako ni Mama and she remind me to go to my room and wash up because it's supper. After kong mag-wash up agad din akong bumaba para kumain. It is important to us na sabay sabay sa pagkain. We ate at nagkekwentuhan naman kame ni Mama. Papa's quiet and I guess he is too tired.

"So how's school today sweetie?" Tumingin ako kay mama at nag-thumbs up muna ako.

"Very fine Ma, pero sobrang hassle kase the school's festival is very soon and siyempre hands on ako so yon." Tumango-tango si Mama at sumubo na ulit. Napatingin kami kay papa na biglang tumikhim.
