(i encourage you to play the video up top cause this shits about to get real)
Meg walked into the kitchen of her home and grabbed a deep red apple from a small porcelain bowl on the counter. She tossed it up into the air and caught it again before taking a bite.
Megs brunette hair sat on her shoulders in two long braids. She wore a light grey long sleeve shirt and matching leggings under her Yankees jersey. She had never actually played baseball, but was willing to try if it meant getting closer to Jasper for her curiosity.
Marge was sitting at the table next to Bob who was hard at work on yet another crossword puzzle. Marge was attempting her best to help him without fighting in between her coffee sips.
Meg tossed the apple between her hands as she sat near the other end of the table facing her grandparents. Before she was able to speak, Marge spoke up first.
"Are you excited for your baseball day with your little boyfriend?" Marge smiled. Her hair still sat in curlers from the previous night.
Meg shook her head a little with a smirk. "Boy friend. There's a space there Nana. But yeah, how did you know I was going to say that?"
Bob looked up from his crossword, finally finished. "We've been with you for some time now kid it isn't hard to tell when you're excited about something"
"Or someone!" Marge added onto Bobs sentence. Bob huffed and gave Marge a side eye through his thick glasses. "This is that boy who came over a while ago isn't it?"
"Well I can't lie to you, so yes...yes it is. Don't worry though nothing is happening between us..." she paused before muttering a "yet" under her breath. Marge immediately perked up to this. "A yet! I heard a yet!"
Bob and Meg began to try and protest what she was saying and deny it but Marge was pretty hopeful for the pair.
"Ok, ok. His brother is picking me up with his actual girlfriend like right now so I have to go. Thank you, love you both, goodbye!" Meg bit into the apple one last time before rushing as fast as she could out of her front door.
A silver jeep sat parked in the gravel road next to the one story house. Meg opened the back door and climbed in, closing it behind her. She buckled her seat belt and looked to the two figures sitting in the front seats.
"Thanks for picking me up, you didn't have to I bet I could've gotten a ride."
Edward sped backwards onto the road and began heading deeper into the woods. "That's alright, you were on the way."
"I'm glad Jasper invited you..." Bella began from the other seat. "It's nice to not be the only human all the time."
"Thank you?" Meg laughed slightly before leaning back in her chair and looking out the window. Human is a weird word. I mean yes, Meg was a human, but seldom do you get called human. It was even weirder since Meg was only just getting used to the vampire idea. Sometimes it was still like a hallucination. Dark grey clouds rolled in, promising the predicted storm. Not much time past before Edward drove off rode and parked near an open, grassy field.
Meg hopped out of the jeep and saw Jasper swinging a baseball bat a few feet away. His golden curls were held in place by a baseball cap, a navy blue and white baseball tee hugged his arms and torso. He wore dark blue jeans that also flattered him very well. It was quite something. Alas, he was a boy FRIEND.
"Too busy to pick me up?" Meg asked when she was in enough distance to not be hit by his bat swinging. Jasper stopped and swung the bat around his shoulders, resting his arms on top of it.
"My apologies ma'am, had to practice." Jasper moved closer to Meg, close enough that if she were to stick barely her hand out she would touch him.
"Looks good enough to me." Meg reached up and lightly slapped the brim of his baseball cap so it tilted over his eyes.
