Beautifully Flawed

"Oh My God"

It's been a few days since the whole incident with Jake's Dad.

It's currently saturday, and the fact that we are all going to have to return to school next week monday just seems to dampen my mood the slightest bit.

Dray and i are busy fixing up my bike in the garage when a thought crosses my mind.

"Wait Dray, since you just got back what school are you transferring to?"

"Oh yeah, i completely forgot about that. I already transferred to Stelmount high....it's actually not far from here"

"Are you serious!?"

"Yes.....why?"

"You transferred to my school you dumbass!" I say cheerfully.

" wow....i thought you were still going to Greenwood. What happened? Why did you transfer?"

" Dad just wanted to give me a chance at a fresh start i guess, I'm pretty sure he was thinking of moving too but i talked him out of that idea"

" well, it's a good thing. At least now i have someone who would willingly help me bat off the ladies" he says with a wink.

What can i say?, he's not exactly wrong.
Dray is what i could call.........'eye candy' he's tall, muscular, Very attractive, confident and has beautiful green eyes. He is what most girls want.

You would expect that Dray would be a player, or a bad boy, right?

Well, no
Dray is actually a really nice guy and he never gets into a relationship if he's not going to be serious about it, he doesn't cheat, and he absolutely HATES the idea if a one-night stand.

I guess it's simply because, he knows what it feels like to be a victim of someone's irresponsibility and lack of better judgement.

So just to put it out there.
Dray, was conceived as a result of a one-night stand, a meaningless affair.

Apparently his dad went to a party while in college, got drunk and.......you can piece it together from there on.

When his mother found out she was pregnant, she was a wreck and apparently wasn't sure if she wanted to keep it....keep him.
But his Dad, although, he was under a lot of pressure, was still in love with the idea of having a child. They were both really young, yet somehow he managed to convince her to keep the child and not to abort it.

After he-Dray was born.......his mom suddenly realized that she was too young to handle the responsibilty that is a child. She handed Dray over to his dad and took off.

Dray's Dad was devastated, young and still quite clueless about life, especially when it comes to raising a kid.
He decided he wanted to be a good dad and leave a good life, so he toughened up and graduated from college, while taking care of his young son.

After he graduated from college, his parents took care of Dray while he was training for the secret service.

Dray grew up without a mother figure, all he had was his dad.....and his grandparents. So he chose to never live his life that way just so he his child wouldn't have to go through what he went through.

Basically the only immediate family he had while growing up consisted of his dad and i, i guess that just sort of made him learn the importance of trust, loyalty and responsibility.

Well, because of all these qualities that Dray possesses girls can't seem to back off. Don't get me wrong Dray knows where to stand his ground and say no......but he isn't as firm with girls, i'd say he's always too much of a gentleman and so they find it difficult to take him seriously.
