"If you leave, I'm coming with you" i say with finality, my mind already made up.
But trust Jake to be a hard head and argue.

"Like hell you are, this is my problem so stay the fuck out of it!" He barks out.

" first of all i will need you to calm down before i sucker punch you in the face, second of all it's late and you are pissed, we are friends remember? I'm not letting you leave here alone, so stop being a dick!" Standing up to him with my shoulders squared in resistance.

"Rhea, this is not the time for this, i don't want you to come, so why the hell won't you get that!?" He yells, exasperation dripping from his voice.

" because you aren't thinking with your head! You're being too stubborn to see beyond your massive ego and your anger! Whatever is bothering you, i can tell it's serious and you can't go alone. Friends always have each others back, so give me a second to get a shirt. Jeff, please help me get rosalita out of the garage"i say as i toss Jeff the keys.

" rosalita?" He asks, confused.

" my bike Jeff, my bike!"
Jogging up the stairs, i grab the first shirt i find and head downstairs, while trying to put on the shirt.
I grab my helmet and base ball bat from the closet and move to the front door.

" hold up! What's the bat for?" Mira asked

" this involves someone you don't like right? " i ask Jake, certain that it does.

"Yes....why" he confirms reluctantly.

"Well, if we are going to meet someone you don't like, who also managed to make you this upset. I figured we are going to have to teach such an individual a nice hard lesson" i say with a wink as i walk out of the house.

" oh and Dray.......stay the fuck out of my room!"

"Why are we taking your bike?"Jake asks

" it's faster" i state simply.

" you drive, but i swear Jake if you as much as put a scratch on my baby, this bat will be imprinted on your skull" i threaten with all seriousness.

The next minute, I'm holding on to Jake, still gripping the bat in my right hand as we speed out of my driveway ,heading towards the main road.

In less than ten minutes, we hit a rocky road, in a quiet and less developed neighbourhood. It's not a poor neighbourhood, but the houses are quite small and some look abandoned.

Moments later, Jake stops the bike a few feet away from a house.....well, i assume it's his house. Getting of the bike Jake starts taking long strides to the house; i hurry after him and grab his arm.

"What!?" He whisper yells.

"I need to know what is going on" i whisper in response.

He stares at me for a few seconds before running his hand through his hair, suddenly looking very tired.

" My dad he-" i raise my hand to stop him, because that's all the confirmation i needed. I'm not stupid, it had always been an assumption, a speculation from the day i overhead his conversation with his mom.

And now that he has confirmed my suspicions that his Dad is indeed an abuser and is probably currently causing trouble for his mom and sweet little Chloe over in the house just a few feet in front of us, it's time he finally learns his lesson.

Giving Jake an understanding nod "it's okay, you don't have to say it. I understand......Now lets go knock him out" i say, a small smirk playing at my lips.

We cross over to the house and jake tries the handle but its locked from inside. He's about to knock when we hear a loud crashing sound coming from inside, followed by muffled yells.
