Beautifully Flawed

"where were they?"

Two days.

It's been two days now and Mira and Jeff still haven't shown up.
Oh, and to make things worse, they still aren't answering our calls.

Last night, i called Mira a total of twenty five times and Jeff, nineteen times.

I left them a bunch of voicemails.

Yet we still haven't heard from them.

I'm worried.....and that's just putting it lightly.

I mean, their father is the main suspect of a murder, they had a lead on his case and suddenly.....nothing.

We don't hear from them and we don't see them.

My mind being the way it is, hasn't ceased to drown me in negative thoughts and the worst possible scenarios.

I've been meaning to go to their house but Dray thinks i should give them some time.....let some time pass before i go knocking on their door.

As i walk through the school doors i make up my mind.

If Miranda and Jeff don't show up today, im going to march up to their house and give them a good beating for not answering their calls or showing up for school, then I'm going to be a good friend and ask about the whole situation while placing an ice pack over their bruises.

In no time, i arrive at my locker. I pick the books i need for the mean time and leave the rest. Just as i'm about to leave i feel Dray's presence behind me.

"Do you have a thing with silently standing behind me as i prepare for class or are you just a creep?" I ask as i shut my locker and fix the lock.

I turn on my heel to come face to face with a confused Dray.

"How the hell did you know i was behind you?"

"Dray....we've been best friends for as long as i can remember and yet you still ask me that?....plus you have a unique cologne" i explain which makes him nod in understanding.

A moment passes before he moves to speak.

"Umm, have you heard from Miranda? i tried calling her yesterday but .....she didn't answer any of my calls or respond to my messages" he asks cautiously.

I take note of the fact that he only asked of Miranda.......he completely left out Jeff.

Dray absolutely forgot the point that Mira and Jeff haven't been in touch with us for days now.

I can bet two tubs of Strawberry ice cream that Dray likes Mira.
He so likes her and i definitely ship them.

I have to admit they will be a pretty hot couple......but the ship won't ever sail if we never hear from her again.

"Nope, i haven't heard from either of them and i also tried calling. I swear if they don't show up today I'm going to march up to their house, even if i have to force myself in"  i say, determined to find out just what is going on.

" hey guys.....i think i just saw Miranda and Jeff" Ace announces, still looking around curiously.

"What!?" Dray and i yell at the same time, gathering the attention of those around us.

" They didn't see me, but i saw them. They had their hoods on and Mira didn't look too good" he informs us, still trying to find them in the crowd of moving students.

" where was she?" Dray asks anxiously.

" where were they?" I correct.

"I last saw them at Jeffery's locker, but they left in a hurry before i could approach them.."
