"come with me"

I wake up to light streaming in through my windows, letting out a groan as i stretch out my sore muscles. I climb out of bed and look around me as the events of last night.....or this morning come crashing down on me.

"Shit!" Is all i can say at this moment. I look around me suddenly remembering that my friends slept in my room last night....but now there is no trace of them.

I turn to look at the clock only to realise that it's 3pm.
Did they leave?
Did i really scare them away?

The fear starts to build up in me with a remarkable speed.
Is it possible that i just lost the only group of friends that i've ever had?

"Oh my God" i say quietly, feeling exhausted to the bone. I put my head in both my hands as i take a seat on my bed, trying to sort out my thoughts.

A couple of minutes pass and i resort to taking a shower to clear my head and wash away the sweat and grime from the night before. A cold shower and change of clothes later, i slip downstairs and walk into the living room.

Suprisingly, i walk in to meet the guys seated while eating lunch. Mira looks up and smiles at me,and at that very moment i feel my heart burst with joy,as the reality that they didn't leave me kicks in .

"It took you long enough to get your lazy ass down here, i managed to save you lunch before these starved beasts could eat it all" Miranda says smugly.

"Thanks Mira, but I'm not really hungry,i was actually just thinking of going for a run" i say cautiously as Jake and Jeff watch me with scrutiny. I simply avert my gaze and put on an impassive look to avoid any form of questioning.

"Oh alright then" Mira replies awkwardly.

" you know I'd offer to join you but i lack endurance" Shawn says offering me a playful smile. Grateful for the distraction, i grin at him.

"No way! With a body like yours you must be into some sort of work out" i state to tease him but also meaning my words. Shawn may be really cute with his pink lips and grey eyes but he has the body of an athlete.

"I hit the gym once a week but i don't do cardio, oh and thanks for the complement" he says with a wink. I wave them goodbye and spin on my heel only to walk into something....or someone.

I look up to the sight of none other than Ace. A very shirtless and very muscular Ace ,might i add.

"Hey Rhea, you're finally up i see" he says with a light smile and a gleam in his blue eyes.

"Yeah i guess, i see you're going for a run" i say pointing out his sweatpants, running shoes and water bottle.

"Yup but i guess i could say the same about you too" he says giving me a once over and an approving look.

On our way out of the house he tosses me a water bottle as we exit. Stepping onto my driveway we start stretching.

"So what route do you usually take?" Ace asks.

"most times i run up the hill, around the park and over the west bridge"

"Wow, that's a long way. No wonder you're so in shape" he says with a wink.

"Ace, are you trying to flirt with me?" I ask with a scoff .

"Well, is it working?"he counters

"Absolutely not!" I answer and take off running.

We keep running ,completely in sync. Our breaths and pace matching almost perfectly. The only sound made is of our feet stomping against the gravel .

After a few moments , we get to the west bridge and stop to catch our breaths.

"Oh my God.......i don't even run this much and I'm the athlete!" Ace says, trying to catch his breath. I let out a chuckle as i wipe off the sweat from my brow.
