Haru’s eyes widened. “He is clearly a man!” he said. “But he’s worse than a woman! He spends more than women!” he exclaimed.
“I guess it’s your temper that’s worse than a woman’s.” Daisuke said.
“What?!” Haru said, mad.
“Who nitpicks on others like you do?” Daisuke said. “If one has money, then let them spend their money! It’s theirs, anyway. Money is used to buy. What do you use it for?!” he asked. He had enough of this guy! He thought and frowned. If he’d continue to lower his head towards this man, this guy’s ego will inflate.
“Wha - !” Haru said. Hearing a familiar voice and tone that reminds him of a certain someone, the irritation he feels increased. “Then what will they use if they ran out of money?” he asked.
“Aren’t one working to earn money?” Daisuke countered.
“What if there was an emergency? The money wouldn’t be enough!” Haru said.
“Let them sign an IOU. It’s not like they’ll stop working when they had stopped spending money.” Daisuke shrugged.
“That’s why I said not to uselessly spend money and instead save it!” Haru righteously said.
Daisuke frowned. “Where’s the fun in that?” he asked.
“Life is not just all fun.” Haru said.
“Why are you speaking like this, anyway? Already managing him like he’s already your partner.” Daisuke said and scoffed. Like a cat with all its hair puffed up.
Haru frowned. “I am not. I’m just concerned with him.” He defended himself. Like a dog who did something wrong.
Daisuke frowned. “Ha. Concern?” he said. “Your concern is too much. Thank you.”  He turned his back on him. This was the first time he had been exhausted like this. Even work cannot compare to this. He had always been proud. Yet he lowered himself for Haru. But, this is what he got – someone who can’t understand him. Maybe it was just right Haru rejected me back then… he thought.
“I – “ Haru said and paused. “It was you who wanted my concern. Why do you reject it now?” he asked.
“Because concern is not what I wanted from you – “ Daisuke subconsciously answered. Then, he froze when he realized it. Haru had noticed it was him.
Haru didn’t speak. He just quietly stood on the side, standing opposite of Daisuke. “Why did you come back?” he asked after a while, his voice now calm.
Daisuke didn’t face him. They can’t see each other, anyway. “None of your business.” He answered.
Haru doesn’t know what to say. He can only sit on the floor of the elevator and listen to the silence. “What I said earlier…” he spoke as he stared at the ceiling. “I hate you. But, I also want to be friends with you.” He told him.
“I don’t want your friendship.” Daisuke said, his voice firm.
Haru helplessly sighed. “Can’t we start being friends?” he asked.
Daisuke frowned. “No.” he answered.
Haru pursed his lips. “What will you get from forcing me?” he asked.
“You will be mine.” Daisuke answered.
Haru powerlessly sighed. “So be it.” He said.
“So you have no choice but to agree…” Daisuke said and paused when he heard what Haru just said. “What – “ he said, wide-eyed.
However, he didn’t have time to react further when Haru accurately grabbed his necktie and pulled him down to him. Daisuke felt a pair of warm and moist lips touched his cold lips.
Daisuke felt his head inflated like a balloon when his brain registered what just happened. “Sir. Inspector Kato kissed you. And it’s been two minutes and three seconds now – “ he heard HEUSC spoken in his earpiece.
I am the only one who can call him like that! Daisuke thought as he bit Haru’s lips and kissed him back. I will remind HEUSC about this later.
For now, kissing is the most important matter.

Partner – this word can mean many things. But for us, this word, its value is priceless. After all, we’re both partners in crime (work), and also partners in love. We value each other as one’s priceless gift.
