A/N: Another long chapter for everyone!Warning that there is a small kissing scene, but nothing too mature. Thank you all for reading!!!

"So... are we or are we not going to talk about the elephant in the room?" Grady said after a long stretch of silence. He stalked over to Keefe staring him straight in his ice blue eyes.

"How about I wait right here while you go upstairs and get the bat." Keefe suggested for him.

"Not until Sophie tells me what's going on."

"How do you know that?" Mr. Forkle transmitted.

"It was in Oralie's cache."

"Wasn't the cache supposed to contain a Forbidden Secret and not secrets from the Black Swan?"

"Well, if you think about it, it actually makes a lot of sense. To put information from a persons brain into a cache, you must need a telepath, right?" Sophie thought, reassuring herself of her theories along the way, "In the memory, Kenric was there to wash Oralie's memories and put them into the cache, and once the information was in the cache, Jolie would be able to conjure it into the void. Since Kenric was in the Council, he could have easily said it was a 'Forbidden Secret' and gotten away with it, considering he could have completed the action himself as a telepath."

"Huh... well, I guess you're right." Forkle admitted.

"Always the tone of surprise."

"You still shouldn't know that though. The memory was clearly only meant to be seen by Oralie, hence why it was in her cache, not yours."

"I have a cache?"

"Not the point I was trying to make,—" Mr. Forkle started saying before their conversation was interrupted by shouts.

"SOPHIE! HELP ME!" Keefe shouted while being chased by Grady around the kitchen island.

"Would you two stop acting like children!" Edaline reprimanded.

Both of the guys stood and stared at Edaline shocked at her raised voice. Sophie took the chance to snatch Keefe away from her overprotective father, and gently maneuvered him behind her.

"Keefe and I have to get started on our work, and I'd really appreciate it if you don't kill him." Sophie said to Grady.

"B-But. What? NO! No no no no no. I will not be leaving you two alone in a room." Grady told them.

"Why not?" Sophie asked.

"Because!"

"Because?" she started for him.

"Erm, I'm sorry to interrupt but I've still yet to get to what I came here for." Mr. Forkle said from the opposite side of the room. He walked over to Sophie and pulled out a small stack of papers.

"Great, more work." she said sarcastically.

"It's not work, it's paperwork."

"Is there supposed to be a difference?"

"Yes, and you'll see why once you look through it all. In the meantime I must get going. My other alias awaits." Mr. Forkle said. He took out a vial of callowberries and head out the door.

"So... we should go upstairs... to my room... alone." Sophie said looking straight at her father and turned on her heel to the stairs. Keefe stood still waiting for Grady to remove his glare.

"Keefe, are you coming?"

"Yes ma'am." he said and ran up the stairs with her.

The two entered Sophie's bedroom and she immediately ran over to her desk,  got on her knees and started rummaging through her drawers.
