"Elwin!" Grady yelled running into the healing center carrying Jolie in his arms.
He placed Jolie on a table, blood pouring down her sides.
"ELWIN!" he screamed for him while the whole group piled inside behind him.
Elwin ran into the room after hearing his name and stopped at the sight of the girl. His eyes widened in fear before quickly walking over to the table side, "Keefe, I need a sedative, two numbing elixirs, my operating kit, a lighter, a needle and some thread."
The boy nodded and hastily went off to the room next door and grab what he'd asked for.
"What happened?" Elwin asked no one in particular.
"It was me." Sophie said with an uneasy look.
"What do you mean 'it was you'?"
"Her and I fought on behalf of our sides so that no one else would get hurt. I thought it'd be better to have less people on their deathbeds."
Elwin looked down at the dagger poking out next to Jolie's shoulder, "She'll be fine. She won't die." he said a bit under his breath.
Keefe ran back into the room with supplies overflowing in his arms, "Here's everything and a bit more for Foster over there."
"I'm fine, Keefe. Really." Sophie told him.
"Fifteen minutes." he said.
"What?"
"According evil Jolie over there, you have fifteen minutes before you die of blood loss. So no, you aren't fine."
Sophie sighed, "I just want to make sure Jolie is okay before anyone goes helping me."
"I know, and I love that about you. But you can't do that if you're dead, Sophie."
"One more brush with death wont phase me."
"But it will me." Keefe said to her, "I've had to watch you die too many times to count."
"So what? You're going to play doctor on me?"
He sat down next to Sophie, "Yes, because I know that you are completely terrified right now even though you're trying to put on a mask and look all tough. And the only reason I know that is because I do the same thing." Keefe grabbed Sophie's hand in his, "Please let me help."
"Fine, but don't you think an actual doctor should be doing this?" Sophie asked.
"Since when do you like doctors?"
"Since they traded in their needles for gulon pajamas."
"Well then I'm your guy. I hate needles and I have a thing for gulons." Keefe smirked.
Sophie smiled and let out a small laugh, trying her best to avoid the pain coming from her abdomen. She looked down at her blood soaked tunic, taking a shaky breath, "Okay. I trust you."
Keefe nodded and stood from the blood doused table. He grabbed some necessities from the counter and went into over to Sophie, who was laying on the cot with her tunic pulled up to her slightly bruised ribs. She winced at the now exposed wound, eyeing the gash that went from her lower left rib to the right side of her waist.
"It's not that bad." Sophie said to Keefe through gritted teeth.
He looked at her and grabbed an elixir, "I'm going to have to numb you for this. The pain could increase your heart rate which would not help our circumstances."
Sophie grabbed the elixir from his hands and downed the sour paste quickly, "Just do what you need to do. Please." she asked, groaning from the pain.
