"Where is she.." Haunting flashbacks entered the mind of Lyndsey Rivers as she entered the hospital that ruined her life years ago, every memory of her life being completely destroyed were very prominent in her head, and now the person she loved the most was there.

Caroline Forbes, the barbie blonde who was nice to very few people, Matt Donavan the perfect boy next door, and Tyler Lockwood the athlete with extreme anger issues. They had all gotten into a car accident, but the boys came out of it without a scratch Caroline on the hand was suffering

"Where is she." She repeated herself this time yelling her voice echoing through the hallway of the empty halls,but it caught the boys attention

She started to sprint towards the room but Matt caught her tiny wrists before she reached the door, "Lyns you need to calm down."

"I can't lose her, I just can't." There was an intoxicating amount of stress in her tiny voice, the last time she stepped foot into this hospital everything in her life was destroyed. Losing Caroline was not an option in her mind

Anyone in Mystic Falls could tell you that Lynn and Caroline were best friends, but they also had the same blood flowing through their veins. They may not look anything alike but the cousins were closer than sisters. Caroline was the person who truly cared about her well being when no one else did. They cried together when things got rough, They laughed together when their lives were a complete mess, They helped each other during times in need. They supported each other through everything and Lynn was not willing to lose that.

Matt knew Lyndsey long enough to know that verbal comfort would do nothing, so he wrapped his arms around her small body holding her tight and felt her shoulders drop in a slight amount of relaxation.

"Matt I need her." Her voice was muffled into the fabric of his shirt, she let herself cry and the cries turned into sobs. It was the most she had ever felt since the fire, knowing Caroline was sitting in a hospital bed suffering more than ever.

She felt completely lost, like there was no hope left.

The door squeaked open revealing Liz Forbes, she stood in shock watching her niece cry, It broke her heart. Ever since Lynn was born she was known to hide all feelings no matter what.

"Lyndsey sweetheart." The sheriff's voice was soft and quiet, but loud enough for the duo to hear, she broke out of Matt's arms and the brunette quickly turned to face her aunt.

Liz stood there with open arms knowing all they both needed was comfort from each other, so she moved from one person to another. "What did they say." She sniffled into her aunties arms

"There was some internal bleeding; they're taking her into surgery."

"What else did they say? Is she gonna be okay?" Matt budded into the conversation, fully trying to keep everyone together.
