Stefan's bedroom was currently occupied by an annoyed Lyndsey and an even more annoyed Damon, John Gilbert was back in town and neither were impressed.

"You brought back John Gilbert? That was your big "Save Elena" move?" Damon asked, crossing his arms in disgust and Lyndsey followed the action, "He's absolutely useless, I thought we had learned this." The young girl added.

Stefan took a look at Damon and his miniature version and sighed, "I went to go look for Isobel, and I get John instead. He said he can help us, and we're desperate."

"We're not that desperate," the eldest Salvatore scoffed, John had been proved to be his least favourite human, "Stefan. The guy tried to barbecue me!" He shouted.

"Stef, he hates Vampires if he finds out I'm a werewolf he will kill me." Lyndsey groaned, She looked at the boy she secretly felt so much for with concern and disappointment.

"Damon, Lyndsey, Bonnie's new witch friend is working with Elijah, so we have to assume that the moonstone was never destroyed . Elena is putting all of her faith into some deal that she made with Elijah to keep everyone safe. I mean, do you trust Elijah? I don't trust him. He's an Original, he can't be trusted. It's not like we can just go up and kill him, because apparently, he can't die!"

Lyndsey thought back to the night of the full moon, Elijah didn't hurt her, he did the opposite. "He can't be that bad." She tried to defend the original but earned a glare from Stefan.

"I'm still waiting for the part where John Gilbert is the answer."

"He knew about the sacrifice, Isobel told him. He said he knew of a way to keep Elena safe." The younger sibling explained, but Damon didn't have much faith in his plan.

"And how do we do that?" Lyndsey asked in curiosity, wondering what John Gilbert knew that they didn't, what Elijah didn't.

"He's not talking. At least not to me anyway"

"Great work Stefan." Damon said, his voice dripping in sarcasm, "Top notch. As if I didn't have enough problems."

Stefan walked forward placing his hand on his brother's shoulder "Hey, I'm sorry about Rose." He said sympathetically.

What Lyndsey had missed on the full moon was quite a show, Rose saved Damon by blocking him from the fangs of a werewolf.

She died a sad death, full of hallucinations and body malfunctions. They all felt horrible, after all she was just trying to help the misfit group of teenagers.
