Lyndsey had a true talent at staying hidden for weeks on end, she had been able to avoid both Salvatores and Elena for almost a week now. After the dinner party, she felt lost and angry which led to emotions that didn't mix well. So she hid and didn't want to be found until she could accept their fake apologies. Or she could accept that they would pretend as nothing happened.

Lyndsey had woken up every day this week with blonde snuggled by her side, Caroline refused to leave her alone it was quite obvious that she was dealing with Elijah's semi-permanent hard, Caroline didn't ask questions she was just there to support her.

"Caroline, Breakfast!" Lyndsey yelled up the stairs,

"I'm a terrible person." The voice of Caroline Forbes echoed as she rushed down the stairs smelling the delicious food that Lynn had made.

Lyndsey's eyebrows lifted in confusion due to the odd comment she had just expressed. "Matt?" She guessed.

"Can you read minds or something?" Caroline giggled at the extremely accurate guess of what was going on in her life.

"It's just so hard, I like him so much but protecting him means that I can't be completely honest." It was obvious that Caroline was stressed out.

Lynn put her spoon full of eggs into her mouth, "he's going through a lot, Tyler's acting weird and you're acting weird and he's confused." she mumbled while trying to chew.

Even though she wasn't close to Matt, she felt for him. It has to be hard when all your best friends and girlfriend are keeping secrets and refusing to tell you.

Caroline groaned, "at least tonight will just be us, I mean we all need a girl's night."

"I'm not going," Lyndsey told her, she was still fuming about Elijah and it turned out that Elena was the one to put him down fully.

"What! No!" Caroline yelled, loud enough for the neighbors to hear. "I know you and Elena are not on good terms but Bonnie will be there too and you need to get your mind on everything at least just for tonight." Her voice was very firm and convincing.

"Fine, but if she does anything else to piss me off I will not hesitate to hit her."

Lynn's nerves were over the edge as she walked through the school just waiting to have a conversation with someone she didn't want to. Caroline was no longer by her side because of the social butterfly she was.

"Hey, Lynds, wait up!!" A voice echoed behind her, Lyndsey's eyes went to the back of her head. She let out a massive groan as she heard his voice.

She just kept walking not wanting to even look at him right now, but a large hand wrapped tightly around her small wrist causing her body to rotate.
