Cassandra Rivers-Forbes was a friend, a sister and most importantly a mother to two gorgeous children. It had been years since Lyndsey had a full conversation with her mom and she missed her more than anything.

The whole Rivers family was woken up by the feeling of smoke entering their lungs, coughing fits were all that was heard. Lynn tried hard to breathe but it was no use. The air wasn't fresh, all that came in was the toxins coming from the fire.

Lyndsey's eyes shot open, due to the burning heat getting closer and closer to her smooth skin. Her normal huge, sweet, and luminous brown eyes were shot blood red, tears were streaming down her pale face  "Mom." She attempted to scream but all that came out was gasps.

A piece of her roof came tumbling down, causing sparks to fly around. Her stunning antique dresser was on fire causing more smoke to arrive, "William." She tried again but it came out as a wheeze.

The door to Lynn's childhood bedroom had been blocked by flashing flames,  causing her to snap out of the state of confusion. She was no longer half asleep, her eyes were wide open but all she saw was red radiating off the walls.

Her eyes darted around her bedroom trying to find out if her window that she had snuck out of countless times throughout her teenage years, her legs were like jello as she started to sprint to her awning doors. Struggling to fit her body through the tiny open space.

Looking around her room to find the window she had snuck out of countless times, she ran to it and struggled to get out of it.

Her head started to spin due to the smoke filling up her room making her muscles feel weak and her vision go blurry, her coughs went from bad to terrible in a matter of seconds. She was feeling extremely faint but her life depended on escaping out this window.

Then she heard the loving voice of her big brother, he was screaming out to her but she could barely make out his words but they sounded faint like "Lyndsey, you can do it!" Will was safe and that's all she needed and wanted was for him to be safe and out of that house.

She took another glimpse of the bedroom filled with memories of her childhood being destroyed within seconds, crumbling before her eyes, the life her family had built, the last pieces of her father were all in that house. Everything she knew in love was in there and now it was gone.

"Lynds, please bean you can do it." William pleaded.

She heard the tone of his voice, and she knew that Will needed this he needed her. So she jumped praying to god that her prince charming would catch her but that didn't happen. He back hit the cold, wet ground but the moment she touched it William was by her side.

He quickly wrapped his protective muscular arms around her, she melted into his natural heat enjoying the rich scent of his woodsy cologne. Neither of the siblings could process what had just happened; they felt numb and were in shock.
