The sun was now high in the sky over the city of New York. The NYPD were hard at work in there investigation of 'what the hell caused all this destruction?' in their city. The cause (or rather causes) of said destruction were seen in the hustle and bustle of the city.

Raymond was walking in a lax position. His hands were in his pockets and his posture was slouched.  Raymond had his ever present smile plastered on his face.

The girl behind him had an obviously annoyed expression on her face. She spent months finding the shooter, and then this guy just randomly shows up and let's him escape. Not only that, but he proved to be almost, if not as strong as her. She couldn't tell though it was obvious their fight was a game to him. Now she was following him, because why? She had no other lead.

"So how exactly do you intend on finding our missing captive?" She asked breaking the silence. Raymond turned around at the white haired girls voice. He continued walking even while facing her.

"Awww you called him ours. You're warming up to me aren't you?" Raymond asked. The girl scoffed at the half monkey's question.

"As if. The only reason I'm here-

-is because I offered to help out of the kindness of my heart." Raymond interrupted her.

"Yeah some kindness. It's your fault he escaped." The girl said electric eyes burning.

"It takes two to tango my dear." The half monkey said wrapping an arm around her. The white haired girl stopped walking, and grabbed Raymond by the wrist. Squeezing tight she twisted.

"Ok, ok. We're not there yet." He said in a strained voice.

"Nor will we be." She said releasing her grip on him.

"Whatever you say. Come on, in here." He said opening the door for his new companion. The girl stepped through the door. Her nose was filled with a very pleasant scent of garlic. Looking around she saw tables and chairs scattered about. In front of her she saw a counter with various pizzas on display.

"So he's here?" She asked the tailed youth.

"What?" He questioned. His eyebrows were quirked with genuine confusion.

"You know. The guy we're after." The white haired girl said, voice full of exasperation.

"Oh! No, no I have no idea where he is." Raymond said walking into the pizza place.

"Then what the hell are we doing here!" She exclaimed. The employees, and patrons looked at the odd pair in the center. The girl couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed by the eyes on her and her 'companion'.

Raymond however; with his uncanny ability to feel no shame simply approached the girl, his smile still in place. Putting his hand on the small of her back and lead her to the counter.

"You gotta lighten up. I've been gallavanting all night, and I'm hungry." The half monkey explained. Before he could say anymore, the girl's elbow was planted firmly in his abdomen.

"Right, forgot, no touching." Raymond gasped out. At this time an employee finally stepped forward.

"Umm can I take your order?" The lady behind the counter asked.

"Yes I'll take a large pie extra cheese, pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, and peppers." Raymond gave the order, his voice back to normal. "And whatever my friend here would like." He added pointing to the white haired girl.

"I'm not sharing by the way." Raymond said turning his back to her and the counter. The half monkey found a seat by the window.

The white haired girl looked at him incredulously. This guy couldn't be real. She had to hold back a sigh before turning to the employee.

"I'll take a medium meat lovers." She said curtly, and walking towards her 'companion'. Sitting in front him she took the time to appraise him briefly. Raymond was lounging in the small metal chair with the two front legs in the air. He wasn't bad looking by any means, but his irritating personality offset his physical appearance completely.

"So what's your deal?" He asked. The chair was back on all fours and he was leaning forward.

"My deal?" She asked.

"Well yeah, I mean you caught a guy who killed a monster I was fighting. You're clearly stronger then any normal human. Your eyes are definitely an unusual shade, and the white hair? Don't know to many people with white hair." He asked. The girl furrowed her brows at him.

Once again he threw her off her game. His face and eyes screamed sincerity. Something she wasn't exactly used to. What made it even weirder was the fact they were just fighting only a few short hours ago.

"I don't see why I should answer any of those questions." She responded while folding her arms over her chest.
Not one to be deterred so easily the half monkey pressed on.

"Awe c'mon surely there's stuff you want to know about me. You can ask whatever you want." Raymond said trying to convince her to talk. He genuinely wanted to know more. It wasn't every day he met someone like himself. The girl said nothing at first, choosing to look out of the window instead.

"How about your name can I at least get that?" Raymond pressed further. She didn't answer still trying to understand what his game was. After some time she finally said.

"Lyra." Raymond couldn't help the proud smile on his face at her answer.

"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." She was still looking out the window when he said that. Her brain finally caught up to what he said.

"Wha-

-and here's your pizza enjoy you two." A small man said dropping off the pizzas they ordered.

"Whoa this looks good." Raymond said digging right in. Any and all questions she had went out the window as she went for a slice of her own.
