Big Ben wandered the casino. His target was missing. She was just in his grasp and then poof gone. The giant stomped with every footstep. Growing irritated from looking he began lifting slot machines in attempts to finding her. Growing even further angry he began throwing them behind him with each one he lifted. Each aisle he went, and still he couldn't find the auburn haired girl.

While Big Ben created more destruction of the property, Lyra was laying in wait for the opportune time. The large man finally made it to the aisle she was hiding in. Before he could react the girl attacked.

Lifting one of the heavy slot machines, she slammed it directly into the back of the giant's knee. The slot machine shattered into nuts and bolts on impact. Losing balance the large man dropped to one knee.

As quick as she could she climbed up Big Ben's back. Seated on his shoulder she dug her hand underneath his metal jaw.

Upon the realization to what was happening, Big Ben lifted both arms to pry the girl off him. Unfortunately for him. Even with all his power and all his strength it was too late. With all her might, Lyra pulled on his head. The skin on his neck began to rip and tear. Though just like his arm and jaw no blood came out, only wires and more metal.

With a mighty heave Big Ben's big head was torn clean off his shoulders. Electricity and sparks bursted from the place his head used to occupy. With the head removed the automaton fell like a large tree having just been cut down.

The auburn haired girl collapsed into a heap with the machine. Though she was coughing and hacking she felt relief wash over her. She had finally done it. Though with that relief came a severe drop in her adrenaline, and the pain in her body became even worse.

The scarred girl was about to force herself up to go find Raymond when the sound of a hydrolic hiss reached her ear. Sitting up she peered at the headless body of Big Ben and saw that his chest was producing some sort of gas. To her shock and amazement the headless giant's chest began to expand and open. The former Big Ben's chest cavity was obscured by all the steam. Just when Lyra thought that this couldn't get any weirder, she was immediately proven wrong.

"Nooooooooo-ho-ho-ho-ho-hooooooo!" A small voice sobbed out of the hole. Scrambling out of Big Ben's 'corpse' was a miniscule man. Once out of the chamber he crawled onto his hands and knees to where Big Ben's head was.

"Ben! Ben! Please! No!" He screamed. The small man had snot and tears flowing like rivers down his face. "I can fix you I c-can fix you. Make you better, bigger, stronger, indestructible." He blubbered to his machine. "I'll go get Felix and we can take you to grandpa-pa's forge. That's it that's what we'll do." The crying man said.

Lyra looked on at the disturbing seen before her. She had seen a lot of weird things in her twenty five years of life. This one was definitely up there. As he continued to sob the small man finally looked up at Lyra's scarred face.

"You!" He said pointing a finger at her, finally remembering he wasn't alone. "You did this! You killed him my life's work! My best friend! You, you're going to pay. Pay! Pay with your life!" He screamed at Lyra. The small man began charging towards the girl. When he got close to her she merely flicked him on the head. Sending him tumbling back knocking him out cold.

With a deep sigh Lyra limped to the miniscule man, and slung him over her shoulder.

"I hope Raymond is doing alright." She muttered to herself.

Back on the roof both Raymond and Felix were trading blows back and forth. Despite his target being poisoned and blind Felix was still struggling to find an opening on Raymond. The assassin was panting, his stamina waning.

Raymond, though despite the poison, was the picture of calm and tranquility. Felix's blood boiled at the sight. He'd never failed a job before, and he wasn't going to start now. With a growl he ran directly at Raymond.

The half monkey's tail twitched slightly upon hearing the sound of his opponent. Keeping his stance rock solid he waited, allowing patience to be his ally. With his senses stretched out he felt Felix's punch heading right for his face. Ducking underneath the punch. Raymond went to sweep the legs with a spin kick. Felix was ready for the counter attack, and countered with jump. As the assassin came down from the jump he stomped directly onto Raymond's tail.

The most excruciating pain the half monkey had ever experienced in his entire life shot through his entire body. Raymond's tail was like a lightning rod attached directly to his spine. So when Felix landed on it, it felt like being in freezing water. All the air left his lungs, and his body seized up entirely.

Not allowing his target anytime to recover Felix took advantage. Grabbing the half monkey by the collar he proceeded to slam his fist to the side of Raymond's face. The tailed male collapsed to the ground, his face now bleeding more.

Felix removed his foot from Raymond's tail. Pulling a fresh blade from his belt as he grabbed at the furry appendage.

"For all the trouble you caused me I'm going to cut your damn tail off as a trophy." Felix told his downed opponent. Raymond's head was pounding from the beating he took. Raymond's senses were assaulted as he slowly opened his eyes. But that's what made him realize. The bright lights of Las Vegas were in view. The darkness was gone. The poison had left his body.

"You should take some credit though boyo." The assassin continued to talk. "Nobody ever put up a fight like you have today. I'll remember that. For at least a day." He spat at Raymond.

Before he realized what was happening, the half monkey's tail wrapped around Felix's wrist. With all the strength he could muster from the appendage he threw Felix away. Not letting up Raymond jumped up from the ground and charged forward. Holding his hand out, the magical staff returned to it's master.

The red head managed to get to his feet; only to be brought back down again by Raymond, and a well place wack to the back of his legs. With Felix down on his knees Raymond did a full three hundred and sixty degree spin with the magic staff. With the final blow delivered the assassin fell face down on the unforgiving concrete.

With the fight over Raymond collapsed to the ground. His hand reached up to the cut on his face. He hissed at the contact. Thankfully the bleeding had stopped. As he sat on the ground the sound of the rooftops doors reached his ears. A pit formed in his stomach until he saw that it was Lyra.

His friend looked worse for wear, but thankfully alive. When her electric eyes landed on him worry filled them. He gave her a half hearted wave. The girl limped over to her companion.

"You look like shit." She told him.

"Back at you." He said with a smile. One which she returned in full. "What's the with little guy?" He asked pointing at the man over her shoulder.

"Oh this is Big Ben." She said dropping him next to Felix.

"Nice." Raymond said in praise.

The girl plopped down next to Raymond.

"What now?" She asked.

"They ain't going anywhere. I just need a minute." He said.

"Yup that sounds like a good plan."
