After defeating the Kappa Raymond was seen walking side by side with The Fox. The man had his hand on the half monkey's shoulder.
"I knew there was something special about you I knew it. No one has beaten Bao ever, and between you and I it's not to hard beat him." The Fox whispered the last part.
"Everybody knows that a Kappa's greatest weakness is manners." Raymond said nonchalantly. The Fox laughed at that.
"No, no they don't, but you did." The other man said pointedly. The two approached a door. Opening it they stepped into an office. A giant solid gold fox statue was the first thing Raymond noticed. Scanning the work of art Raymond noticed it's most striking feature. The creature had eight more tails then a normal fox.
"You like huh? I had that made about oh I'd say five, six hundred years ago. I lose track sometime, the years all blend together you know?" The man asked his new friend.
"Nah not really. I doubt I'll live that long." Raymond answered. The Fox had his back to Raymond at his bar on the side. Two glasses in hand he gave one to the golden eyed man.
"Don't count yourself short. You're the kid of Wukong. I never met him, but I heard all the stories. If you're half as tough as him you'll be walking this earth as long as me." The red eyed man said to his companion. Taking a sip Raymond said.
"I'm a man of quality over quantity." The half monkey retorted.
"You're a better man than most. Anyway to the point. You made a lot of noise in New York and now you are here on my doorstep. How can I be of assistance?" The man asked behind his desk. Raymond threw his head back swallowing the drink in one gulp. The liquor in the glass burned his throat in a good way.
"Fire and Desire. The siren who ran that club. I need to know who she works for. She stole something from me twelve years ago. I was at that club and she said she gave it to someone else. I need to know who and where they are." Raymond explained his golden eyes held an intensity to them that both impressed and to a far lesser degree scared The Fox.
"This 'Something' that she gave away can you tell me what it is that would be helpful." The Fox responded.
"A sphere. It's small and fits in your hand. It has all these runes on it." Raymond answered. With a nod The Fox stood and walked to a shelf. The shelf was adorned with many object and trinkets. On one of the shelves was a small box. With said box in hand the red eyed man sat back in his seat. Opening the box the man pulled out an orb. Raymond's golden eyes widened at what was shown to him.
"Before you say anything the short answer is no, this is not yours. This is what they stole from you I presume?" The fox asked. Raymond's only response was a nod. "I see, do you know what this is?" The Fox continued.
"Not exactly. All I know is my dad left it for me." Raymond answered.
"Well then let me educate you. You see these orbs by themselves are worthless. However." Holding up his pointer finger, his nail shifted to a claw. Sticking the claw in an indent into the orb he turned finger like. Removing the claw the orb opened up revealing nothing inside. "It's what's inside that's worth something. Your father must have left something very important for you inside your's." The Fox explained. Absorbing all the information Raymond stood.
"Who has it Fox." It wasn't a question, but a demand. Once again turning his back the red eyed man grabbed a file, before handing to the half monkey The Fox had this to say.
"Inside here is all you need to know. You have to promise me one thing, before I hand it over." The Fox said.
"And that is?" Raymond questioned brows furrowed.
"You finish what you started. Don't look back only go forward. If you half ass this you will fail, and you will die." He told the golden eyed man. Raymond couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his mouth.
"Death was never something I was afraid of." He answered holding his hand out.
"That either makes you dangerous or foolish." He said handing over the file.
"Thank you for this I appreciate it." Raymond said sincerely holding his hand out. Grabbing the offered hand in a shake.
"Stay safe kid." Was all The Fox said.
---------------------------------------------------------"Yo Raymond you about to just leave and not say goodbye!" Devann's voice called out. The tailed man stopped in his tracks. The shorter man caught up to the taller man.
"Hey brother you get paid?" Raymond asked.
"Yeah you almost left without your cut." Devann handed Raymond a band of bills. "Five grand should help you in your travels." He said.
"Come on I can't take that I didn't do it for the money." Raymond told Devann.
"Bruh it's all your money you earned this take it." Devann said forcing it in his hand.
"Alright fine I'll take it, thanks." Raymond said stuffing it in his coat pocket. "Take care of yourself buddy. I doubt you'll find another random person to beat people up for you." The half monkey said with a smile.
"Oh I'm officially out I'm getting my life together. No more shady shit for me." Devann said. The two shook then slid, and locked fingers.
---------------------------------------------------------After Raymond had left the fight club he was in search for a nice quiet place to sleep and read the file. Walking the streets of Pittsburgh the loud rumbling of a motor his ears. His eyes were blinded by the high beams of a single headlight. Cover his with one hand Raymond tried to see who had just pulled up on them.
The person had killed the engine and the light went out. Getting off the bike and removing their helmet revealed all to Raymond. Without the helmet the person's snow white hair was recognized by Raymond. Their electric blue eyes locked onto Raymond's golden ones.
"Lyra?" Raymond asked.
