Laney

Me and Corey were in the photo booth. I could feel my face turning a bright red. This was a moment that only happened in my dreams. I pinched myself and yep it was real. I kissed him back wishing we could stay like that forever.

I open my eyes. Ugh, another dream about my past. I grabbed my bass and started singing.

I'm losing my self control

Yeah, you're starting to trickle back in

But I don't wanna fall down the rabbit hole

Cross my heart, I won't do it again

I sing quietly, not wanting to wake the others.

I tell myself, tell myself, tell myself, "Draw the line"

And I do, I do

But once in a while, I trip up, and I cross the line

And I think of you

Two years, and just like that

My head still takes me back

Thought it was done

But I guess it's never really over

Oh, we were such a mess

But wasn't it the best?

Thought it was done

But I guess it's never really over

Memories about me and Corey flooded my mind. The day we accidentally kissed on the second New Years, the time we pretended to date to get cake, and all the other times with him.

Just because it's over doesn't mean it's really over

And if I think it over, maybe you'll be comin' over again

And I'll have to get over you all over again

Just because it's over doesn't mean it's really over

And if I think it over, maybe you'll be comin' over again

And I'll have to get over you all over again

Corey

I was thinking about Laney when I heard soft quite singing from one of our neighbors

I guess I could try hypnotherapy

I gotta rewire this brain

'Cause I can't even go on the internet

Without even checking your name

I thought for a moment that it was Laney, but she's somewhere else. Most likely with someone else. I grabbed my guitar thinking why not and started singing

Corey-

I tell myself, tell myself, tell myself, "Draw the line"

And I do, I do

But once in a while, I trip up, and I cross the line

I think of you

Two years, and just like that

My head still takes me back

Thought it was done

But I guess it's never really over

Oh, we were such a mess

But wasn't it the best?

Thought it was done

But I guess it's never really over

Laney-

Just because it's over doesn't mean it's really over

And if I think it over, maybe you'll be comin' over again

And I'll have to get over you all over again

Corey-

Just because it's over doesn't mean it's really over

And if I think it over, maybe you'll be comin' over again

And I'll have to get over you all over again

Both-

Thought we kissed goodbye

Thought we meant this time was the last

But I guess it's never really over

Thought we drew the line

Right through you and I

Can't keep going back

I guess it's never really over, hey

Two years, and just like that

My head still takes me back

Thought it was done

But I guess it's never really over

Corey-

Just because it's over doesn't mean it's really over

And if I think it over, maybe you'll be comin' over again

And I'll have to get over you all over again

And I'll have to get over you all over again

Laney-

Just because it's over doesn't mean it's really over

And if I think it over, maybe you'll be comin' over again

And I'll have to get over you all over again

Over you all over again

Both-

Thought we kissed goodbye

Thought we meant this time was the last

But I guess it's never really over

Thought we drew the line

Right through you and I

Can't keep going back

I guess it's never really over

Laney

I could hear his voice singing with me. Man I really do need to rewire this brain. I put down my bass and went in my bed. I love you Core maybe we'll meet again.
