Colby's POV:
My vision was still blurry and my head was now hurting. My heart was beating slower and my breathing was normal. I must have passed out after a hell of a panic attack. I never had one of those so it was just a guess.
I was calm for a couple of minutes before I remembered where I was laying and why. The blood, the panic, the man hovering over people and people screaming. I kinda wanted to go back to sleep.
My eyes were heavy and it was dark enough to just sleep. Then I remembered Sam. I had no idea where he was.
What the fuck was even happening right now?
I needed answers to my questions, before I asked more. Luckily, I had everything on me. My phone, my wallet and keys.
I opened my phone and called Sam. "Hey this is Sam, I'm sorry I must be a little busy right now but leave a messag-".
I hung up before leaving any fucking message.
It went straight to voicemail which meant his phone was dead. I didn't want to think of the fact that he might be in a place where he couldn't connect with a cell network. I wanted to think he was near.
He was probably at home, right? I knew the answer to that. Everyone was running outside after I did and if not, they were stupid.
It would be like a trap if you stayed. See that would be a trap house. Fuck, what the fuck was I saying. I was making jokes after I just woke up from a fainting, which btw was from an anxiety attack because people were taking bites of each other. Jesus fucking Christ.
I called everyone else in the friend group, but no one answered. Everyone went straight to voicemail. I was fucked.
No, fuck that. I needed to find answers. That's right Colby, find answers, do not question or make negative statements. Nope.
I stood up and made sure I had my balance back and could stand properly. It didn't take me long, but I had no idea where to go.
I Walked in the shadows, avoiding anything moving or attracting attention. I was scares as fuck and started thinking out loud until I finally met the house the party was at just and hour ago.
As I thought, everybody was out and nowhere to see. Only a few drained bodies was laying in the shadows and even the guard was sitting against the front door. Guess he really didn't let anyone in, until the end. He was still alive!
"Oscar!?". I hurried towards him and discovered his wounds. Fuck.
"Shit.".
"Yeah. What the fuck is this Colby?". Oscar was in his forties, had kids, a wife but never got tired of us boys. I felt bad.
I dragged him inside the house and made took of his suit and tie. The blood was everywhere.
What the fuck.
"how? How... did this uhm happen? Oscar?".
"Gun.". he could barely speak, but my eyes wend wide.
"they... they were shooting. They were scared Colby. I didn't know wha...".
"Shut up. This isn't your fault. I have no idea what's going on. I thought this only happened in movies. They... they looked like... Dead.".
"I know buddy, I know.". I looked him in the eyes and shook his shoulders to wake him up a bit.
"Did you see where Sam went? Oscar?". He was quit for a second before answering.
