Julia's POV:

I was tempted to move my hand behind my back to grab the gun and then shoot as soon as I could, but before that thought entered my mind, his was already pointed at me.

I could see that Diego knew him, and had zero clues about what was happening, but he didn't need to understand since he probably was dead in a few minutes.

The masked man was wearing all black like Scott and Diego, but this time a shirt covering his arms as well.

"Who are you?"

I already knew I wasn't gonna win this fight since, he seemed like he had done this before, but also because I was the one laying on the ground with probably a broken ankle and a couple of broken rips. Yeah, I could feel the pain now that the adrenaline rush had decreased.

He didn't answer my question but pointed the gun in the air and down again, telling me to stand up like a fucking dog.

I guess that made me madder than the way Diego and Scott did it, but then they didn't look quiet as intimidating as this guy whos' first reaction was to point a gun at me. Which was the reason why I slowly up, feeling the cold metal gun being tucked under my shirt by my jeans.

I noticed the sun wasn't high on the sky but lower by the horizon, making me question how long I had been out. It made me unsure of where I was, and a wave of anxiety hit me and rolled over me as the tears started to form in my eyes.

The guy in front of me didn't seem angry or frustrated b my actions like Diego, but lightly grabbed my arm and guided me towards the van with his gun constantly pointed to my head.

I could sense that he was calm in the way he did things, and I soon realized I could use that to my advantage. He must had been at least a couple of years older than me, because he sure as hell was taller and bigger than me.

He didn't say anything when we were by the open doors by the van and the unconscious Scott laying inside.

He then pointed at me and then down on the ground, telling me to stay in place, so that he could clean up the mess.

But what he didn't know was how quiet you can stand and yet still grab a gun behind your back.

And so that's what I did.

After he had grabbed Scott and checked his pulse which was nowhere to be found, he placed him on the ground and closed the doors but didn't dare to turn around when he felt the metal slowly creep up on his back.

I was holding out the gun with one hand while the other moved his shoulder to turn him around and pushed him against the white van.

"Who the fuck are you, and where are you taking me!?"

My voice cracked in the end and I felt my eyes water once again.

I was scared of the answer.

I was scared because I had no idea which day it was or where in the world, I was in.

I didn't know where Violette or Shaely were

And I sure as hell didn't know what they had done to Colby

Maybe that's what scared me

Being lost, knowing there somewhere in here but you don't know where.

And you let yourself fall for him and you let yourself down.

The sun was burning my back since I was wearing black only as well.

The guy didn't seem bothered by my aggressive actions and it scared the shit out of me.

The way his eyes would drop from my eyes to the weapon in my hands made me almost drop it letting him take me. But I didn't though.

"Who are You?". I asked calmly this time, trying to understand what he was doing with his eyes.

Then in a swift action, I pushed the gun further into the guy's stomach, making him slightly his in pain, but I had forgotten where my other hand was, and it quickly got yanked into the hard van.

I slipped in pain but before the guy could push me into the van as I thought he intended to do, I quickly grabbed the ski mask covering his entire head.

When I felt the van against my back, I was pointing the gun at him again, but he had his own in his hand and was pointing it at me.

I didn't believe my eyes for a long time after that

I didn't want to see what I saw, and I was trying to shake it off while blaming it on the heat and lack of nutrition I had been intaking, but he was still there.

He was still standing in all black, with blood on his hands and a gun in one of them.

His lip was busted, and he had a few scratches, but nothing I didn't recognize.

I guess that's when it all changed

When I saw the rest of him, and not just his beautiful blue eyes in the Californian desert

I saw the dirt, the blood and the guilt filling him completely, only confusing me even more.

Colby was standing in front of me with a gun pointed at me and I was pointing a gun at him, yet he was the one to drop it first.

It felt like someone had put a layer of black over my eyes and heart. As if someone had turned me ice-cold in the middle of the summer. The sun couldn't melt me this time, it couldn't warm me or burn me, cause I was already warm. Filled with something I hadn't felt in a long time.

Like the amount of disappointment and betrayal was the only thing I could think of when I looked at him.

The pieces were fitting together now, and the puzzle I had been waiting to solve was solved, but now that it was, I don't think I really ever wanted it to be.
