Julia's POV
I didn't dare to move for a while when I felt his heavy arm still wrapped around my waist. I didn't dare because I knew when I did, the moment would be over, and we would have to get out of bed to go downstairs to face reality. Perhaps that could wait though.
"it's creepy and rude to stare..". his eyes were still closed while he spoke and started to move around a bit under the blanket.
"Oh, shut up, you do it all the time.". I said as I placed my free hand on his arm and slid it all up to his shoulder and against his neck until I could rest it by his jaw. I felt his chest with my other hand and traced my fingers around his tattoo and carefully by his wounds.
He smiled by my action and grabbed hard around my waist before pulling me into him. It was a lot warmer by now and I could smell familiar cologne. Our legs were tangled together under the blanket and both of us were laying on our sides looking at each other as the time went by.
"Can we just stay here for the rest of the day?". He asked when he finally opened his eyes which turned to mine immediately.
I smiled at the thought of that and how he wanted just what I wanted. "I wish. I really like it here.".
The thought about actually leaving this guy made my smile quickly turn into a sad frown, and so did his. I felt his hands run against my warm skin as they reached my face and through my hair in which he played with until it rested on my jaw like the way mine did.
"Me too... You know, I really don't think that I would hurt."
"Mmh, really?". I saw what he was doing. His eyes shot between my eyes and my lips while he slowly moved closer to me. until he did it again.
Our lips collided for a brief second before they parted.
It felt so natural and even though it was quick it felt like his lips still were on mine.
When I opened my eyes again, I saw something else than what I was feeling. Colby still looked down, like he was going through what reality was lying in front of us. The sunlight was creeping through the curtains and landed on the white blankets, showing all curves of our bodies. It was quiet, something I wasn't used to, something I would never get used to. It was always some sort of noise in New York at all time, and I didn't expect LA to my much different.
We just laid like that for a while, until Colby made the first moves and turned around onto his back before sitting up against the wall. There was something weird about him now. Maybe he didn't get much sleep, or maybe it had something to do with last night. Oh god, was it that bad. Was he trying to say something?
"what is it, Colby?". I asked worried while sitting up in front of him.
"Nothing... I guess I just didn't sleep very well last night.". He then turned his back at me and got up from the bed. I noticed every bruise that came in my vision and how his hair became lighter because of the sunlight in front of him.
"Was last night really that bad?". My stomach had dropped, and my voice sounded weak again, and I hated myself for it.
His body stiffened before he stood up and quickly turned around to look at me instead. His piercing blue eyes immediately met mine and looked with an almost angry frown. His entire upper body was now darted at me while we were both sitting at our opposite sides of the bed.
"WHAT? NO. God no, Julia. Trust me, I had an amazing time last night and I truly wish we could just stay in this bed the whole day.". he looked into my eyes and moved forward with his entire body until his hands cupped my face and he looked into my eyes, yet this time his lips went down my neck and against my collarbones while his fingers started to dig into my bare skin. I slowly leaned my head back to give him more room, and sat in his grip, straddling him and hold on to him.
When he stopped, we sat there for a while until I stood up from the bed and took a look at him again. Maybe he was right, maybe he couldn't sleep, I mean, it did look a lot like it.
"Fine. I should go downstairs before my aunt... oh shit, MY AUNT!". I yelled out in the room before quickly turning towards a pile of clothes and looking back at Colby.
"yeah, you should probably check on her, I heard aunts can die if they don't see their nieces for a while.". He jokingly said as he pulled his t-shirt over his head and looked at me running around the room.
"No, I'm serious! I didn't see her after I fainted.". Never said that before.
"Don't worry I did, remember? She bought the clothes and then she went out for something after you took a shower.". He was talking more slowly, trying to calm me down, since I had completely forgot about that. I now remembered that I had to know more about my parents and try not to faint this time.
