Eve's POV
A month has passed and I have gotten more used to my esper qualities, the system, my small body and the wolves. Over the past month I had given names to the wolves, Alpha, Beta and Delta. They taught me how to hunt and what things I could and couldn't eat, despite having the title Pack Leader I feel more like the packs runt because I was weaker than the wolves and knew nothing about this world. I also learnt that my intelligence was so low because of that.
Today I have decided to leave my wagon wreckage home and go explore the world. Picking up the demon wolf skin, some dried meat I put them into my Dimension Space that I created using my Space Element. Picking up the water pouch I made from Silk Rabbit skin I headed down to the stream to fill it up. The wolves wonder around the wagon until I came back.
"Alpha, Beta, Delta let's go! We are going on an adventure!" I say enthusiastically. Although my soul is the oldest soul there is and I'm supposed to have a mental age of a genius seventeen year old, I found myself quite childish and I have never felt so relieved. I feel like I can finally be a child I never got to be in my past life. I can finally feel all the things I was supposed to feel but.....on some days I do feel overwhelming by my new emotions and that's okay because I'm slowly adapting to it like how I have adapted to so many other things since arriving in Reinfer.
I skip along between the trees in a random direction, sometimes stopping to look at the peculiar insects and animals that peek my interest. As if picking up my mood and thoughts, Alpha and Delta play tag with each other and Beta pokes and probes his head around random bushes with interest. This new body is nice, it doesn't need as much food or water and rest a normal human five year olds need. I'm glad I had that race change.
Third person's POV
Within the deepest part of a great forest, the laughter of a small child could be heard along with the playful growls and howls of his companions. The small child with a mop of thick black hair and brilliant green eyes had tripped over a head stone in a open field he had stubbled across admist the thick forest. The head stone was worn down by the weather and thick moss had grown over it. On the head stone the words 'Here lies Henry Grey, the creator of Blank Magic.' Were carved into it and could barely be seen. Kneeling in front of the head stone the child brushed his finger over the words and called out the name of a certain magic creator.
Eve's POV
"Henry Grey. Henry Grey the creator of Blank Magic" I say aloud.
"Yes? I'm Henry Grey, also the greatest magician in blank magic to have ever lived. Not that anyone can notice me............" *sigh* Henry replied with a almighty and disappointed sigh.
"Why are you still here? Its been serval thousand years since you died." Noticing my call was actually answered, I turned around to see a the ghost of Henry which is a fairly old man who looked about sixty years old. Ghosts usually move onto the afterlife even if they had wonder around for a few years they are bound to leave at some point.....?
"Well... as the greatest magician in Blank magic I wasn't able to pass............" Henry froze and looked at me wide eyed.
"To pass what? Was it a test?" I asked.
"Woah! Hey kid! You can actually see me! You can see me as a ghost!" Henry said with a deep hearty voice.
"Well yeah? Always been able to see ghosts don't see why you're any different?" After blurting that out I realized that people in Reinfer couldn't see the dead either, alike to earth.
"HaHahaHa! Finally someone I can pass my knowledge to! Kid want to be my apprentice? " Henry laughed as he cried out and asked.
"Okay!" I replied excitedly, I'm about to learn something new. The first proper magic I'm about to learn since coming to this world.
"Great then as my apprentice you should come live in my home." Henry replied and lead me across the field a little deeper into the forest and to a small burrow like cottage. I walked around it with the wolves checking it out, it was like a small hill in the middle of the forest except on one side of the hill was a door. The small hill was over grown and the plants made a curtain that hid the door away. I pushed the door with all my might. It was just as I thought the door had been sealed shut, I couldn't open it. Calling the wolves we rammed into the door before all tumbling together into the small burrow like cottage.
"Ahh~ No ones used it for so long, I'm glad someone is finally able to put it to good use after all this time." Henry said satisfied as he drifted in behind the stumbling child and his wolves. Looking around the interior of the cottage nearly everything was in one room, there was only one separate room which to my surprise was a small bathroom. Walking back to the main room which had a stove in the corner with a window in front of it, next to the stove a sink, a wall covered with cabinets from top to bottom was opposite the stove, next to the cabinets was another window, in the middle of the room a table and some chairs, a lamp sat on the table, diagonally opposite the stove a small bed with a trunk at the end of it, opposite the bed a book shelf and the door that leads to the bathroom.
Pulling out the demon wolf skin from my Dimension Space, I laid it over the dusty bed. I climbed onto it and called the wolves to come up onto the bed. They are a source of warmth for my small body that is still prone to the cold. After the wolves cuddled up around me I lied down but before we could go to bed Henry had came out from his sate of shock.
"What?.....How? Did you just pull that rug out of thin air!?" Henry screeched, very unlike the grandpa appearance he has.
"That is just some of my secrets you'll never know and will never ask about again. Otherwise I won't be your apprentice anymore." I said with a serious tone.
Henry's POV
To say I'm stunned is a understatement. This young child in front of my just made a serious face and it scared me. He mad a face no child should be able to make or understand. Returning from my stunned sate I saw the child cuddling up with wolves.......? I mean how the heck did I child end up with monsters without being eaten, even becoming family with them!? How can he see ghosts? He even said he had been doing it his whole life? I know he has been talking to me since earlier today but I never really got the chance to process this fact yet!? *huff* Taking in a deep breath then letting in out, I continued my scrambled train of thought. Anyway his threat....he was serious but despite my curiosity I decided I will never speak about his strange behavior, magic or situation.......ever. If he leaves then the true potential of Blank Magic will be lost forever and with that thought I left the pile of sleeping bundles and went to go wander the fields again. Wandering cleared my head and I decided that not questioning him is my best option after all I finally have an apprentice and not prying about his secrets seemed totally worth it.
