Today's the day. Finally the grand opening of CHARLIE'S. It's been a long road and I didn't think we would ever get to this point, but we're here. I actually can't believe it.

The last week has been a nightmare, but I did manage to higher 4 people. We got Angela, she's nice, kinda quiet...then there's Ben, Mike and Lauren. I'm not sure about Lauren though, she seemed nice enough but I think I may have trouble with her in the future...I'll see how we get on.

I've stocked the bar and we're ready to go. The jukebox has been fitted and it sounds fucking fantastic...the pool table's set up and ready to go with new shiny balls.

I actually cant wait to open the doors. Me and Alice had some flyers made up, so that we could spread the word. I'll just be happy if one person walks through the doors.

We open at 7…but I have to be there early to fill the till and turn the slot machines. Also give the place a once over just to make sure everything is in its right spot,I also have a that band has to set up before hand that we ordered for tonight. They're pretty good. Their a new up and coming band called "Starlight". I thought I'd give em a shot, if there good I call em back.

I'd been up hours, I was already showered and dressed, I put on tight skinny jeans that looked like a second skin, a dark blue tank top and my pair of doc martins with the laces undone.

I straightened my hair, not properly cos I didn't give a fuck but just enough to take out the frizz out. I didn't do anything special with it, just left it down. I did my make up slightly darker than normal, I was making a slight effort tonight. I can dress well, I just choose not to. Why make myself uncomfortable just to prove something to someone else? I say fuck you to that!

I made a quick roast beef sandwich and stuffed my face, sod acting like a lady in my own fucking house, there ain't no one here to see me. I picked up my keys, phone and stuffed it in my bag and was on my way.

By the time I got to the bar it 10 to 6 and the band was outside waiting. I opened the doors and took a look around...the place really did look great. Alice did a fantastic job with the place. I would never tell her that though, she'd get a big head, I'm sure she knows I'm thinking it though….. well I hope so.

"Bella could you open the back door, so we can set up?" Tom asked. He was the lead singer of their band.

"Sure go round back and I'll open up!" I shouted back to him.

I walked over to the back door as Ben and Lauren walked in.

"Hey guys chuck your stuff out back and give the tables a quick wipe over will ya?" I asked.

I opened up the back door and let the guys in to set up, then walking over to turn on the jukebox and put some tunes on. I also flipped the switches on the slot machines, they let me know they'd come to life with the millions of flashing lights going a mile a minute.

I ran to the back room and flipped the lights above the pool table, then made my way to behind the bar and turned the lights on for the rest of the bar. I needed to start filling the till so it was ready for tonight.

I left Ben and Lauren finishing the tables and setting up the chairs while I slipped into my office. I plonked my ass on my chair behind my desk and took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Didn't fucking last long though when I heard my door bang open against the wall as Alice made her way in like her ass was on fire waving a paper at me, then slapped it on the desk.

"Hello to you to Alice" I said sarcastically

"Yeah yeah, Bella look" She said pointing to front page of the paper she was holding.

"Alice I ain't really got time to read the news paper, in case you have forgotten...I have a bar to open in 10 minutes" I said.

"I know Bella but look at the fucking front page!" she all but shouted at me. Then slammed her hand on the paper a few times.

OKAY!

I let out a huff and looked at the front page and started to read the headline:

Edward Cullen the supposed under-boss of the Cullen crime family was brought in for question yesterday in connection to a murder investigation currently open with the FBI…

I didn't bother reading the rest though, I mean what the heck was I reading this for?

"Yeah great Alice, but why are you making a big fuss over it?" I asked.

"Bella look at the picture" She said with a huff and crossed her arms.

I looked over at it, there was a guy in a suit and messy hair, he looked bored and slightly pissed off.

"BELLA...it's the guy from the restaurant last week!" She shouted at me.

I looked at the paper again, but this time in shock..HOLY SHIT BATMAN!

"Fuck, I told you I'd seen him before and that he had that air about him, didn't I?" I said looking up at Alice and then started laughing. She was looking at me like I might have a screw loose. Fuck maybe I did.

"Bella this is serious, why are you laughing?" She shouted.

"Cos you're over there shitting your pants. I mean it's been a week, you really think he's gonna turn up? And do me a favor?" I said with a chuckle. "He'll be too busy banging his whores to worry about Lil ol me" I finished with a smirk.

"Shit Alice it's time to open up, are you coming out for the toast?" I asked her.

"Come on" She moaned at me as we made our way up front. I went to the bar and took out 7 shot glasses and filled them with vodka then called everyone to me and handed them out.

" OK...Quick toast to my father, that's probably up in the high heaven choking on his spit...pissed that his little girl brought a bar with his money...To Charlie" I said, as we all raised and clinked our glasses then downed em. Gotta say it burned a bit going down but in a oooohhhh so good way.

"OK let's go people, Tom be ready to go on about 9ish...Ben and Lauren you'll be behind the bar. I'm gonna do a bit of everything and Alice is gonna sit at the end of the bar, looking pretty and get topped up with free drinks all night cos she did a good job with the place" I say looking over at her with a smirk.

She started to do this weird dancing thing muttering "Guess who's getting shit faced" over and over. I couldn't help but laugh and circled her as I walked over to the doors and unlocked em.

I walked over to the jukebox and put on some music that would probably suit everyone, gotta love kings of Leon. Then went back behind the bar and walked down to Alice's end which happen to be near the door.

And we fucking waited.
