10. Friday

Connie's P.O.V

It was now Friday, and my first week of school was coming to a end. I walked out of the school, and towards the high school, I wanted to catch up with my friends early, so we could spend Friday night together.

Samantha's P.O.V

I just finished up my first week of school, and I was real excited to spend the weekend with my friends. But, when I walked out of school I saw trouble.
That trouble came in the form of Kyla and Taylor, two Soc girls that went to my school. Not only were they talking trash about greasers, they were doing it to the face of a greaser, Laura.

" You're so poor that you can barely afford nice clothes, we're rich and worth something. " I heard Taylor say in her usuall stuck up bratty manner.

" Hey, cut it out. " I yelled.

" Well if it isn't Samantha, one of the filthiest greasers in the school. " Kyla said with a laugh that sounded like a dying bird.

" Leave Laura alone!! " I yelled to the two brats.

" Oh yeah, and what would you do, we're far more rich and could do so much more then a filthy greaser could ever do. " Taylor said placing a hand on her hip.

" I'm sorry, did I ask? " I said with a smirk.

" What? " both girls said in confusion.

" No one here cares how rich you are, no one even asked. And as a matter of fact, we're happy being greasers, at least we're not fake. " I said placing my arm around Laura's shoulders.

" What did you say? " Kyla asked.

" Oh what, are you going to fight me? " I asked.

" Well sure. " Kyla said.

" Really? You wanna fight me? " I said.

" Yes. " Kyla said.

" Okay fine. " I said taking off my leather jacket and handing it to Laura.

" Samantha, really, this isn't necessary. " Laura said.

" I don't care, they deserve it. " I said gesturing my hand at them.

" C'mon it ain't worth it. " Laura said with a more stern of a tone.

" Fine!! Just know if either of you mess with us again, there will be no mercy!! " I snapped as I turned to the two girls.

" Oh my gosh I'm so scared!! " Taylor said sarcastically.

" Why you little!! " I said as I pushed her to the ground.

" Hey!! What are you going to do to me now, punch me? " Taylor said in a mocking tone.

" Actually yeah, good idea. " I said as I punched her. I didn't do it hard enough to cause any damage, but it was enough to get my point across. She looked up at me, a small bit of fear in her eyes.
I turned around and noticed Connie and Laura staring at me wide eyed. Connie must of came here after school, and I didn't notice her walk up.

Connie's P.O.V

" Why you little!! " I heard Samantha yell as she pushed a girl to the ground.

" Hey!! What are you going to do to me now, punch me? " the girl said as I walked over to Laura.

" Actually yeah, good idea. " Samantha said as she punched the girl, then she turned around. Laura and I just stared at her.

" What happened? " I asked.

" Let's just go. " Samantha said as she glared down at the girl. Samantha, Laura, and I started to walk.

" Where's Pony and Kaitlyn, did they not come to school? " I asked.

" They did. Pony already started walking home, and Kaitlyn left early for somethin'. " Laura said.

" Oh, what about Two-Bit? " I asked looking between the two.

" Who knows, it's Two-Bit. Y'know he only goes to school for kicks, so who knows when he does or doesn't go. " Laura once again answered.

" True. Why did Pony leave so early? " I continued asking question.

" He said somethin' about leavin' to see a movie at the movie house or somethin'. " Samantha finally answered.

" Oh, well, y'all wanna hang out at the park or somethin'? " I asked.

" Sure. " Laura said.

" Yeah, let's go. " Samantha said turning down the road towards the park. We walked the five minutes to the park, and sat on some of the equipment.

" So what was y'all's first week like? " I asked trying to make conversation.

" Good. " Laura said with a smile.

" Okay, but it could of been better. " Samantha said.

" How was yours? " Laura asked looking over to me.

" Good. I made two friends. " I said a smile making its way to my face.

" Oh yeah, what are their names? " Laura asked.

" Felix and Valerie. " I said with a smile.

" That's good kid. " Samantha said messing up my hair.

" Yeah. " I said playfully swatting her hands away.

" Y'all want to head to the Curtis house, this got pretty boring real quick. " Samantha said hoping off the equipment.

" Up to you two, I don't care. " Laura said following Samantha.

" Sure. " I said getting off the equipment.

" Okay, let's go. " Samantha said walking towards the Curtis house.

" Will anyone even be home? " I asked remembering that Darry and Soda had work, and Pony went to the movies.

" Yeah. Darry didn't have work today, and Soda got off early. " Samantha said. We continued on our way to the Curtis house.
