Connie's P.O.V

It was about an hour till we were supposed to get on the road, and start driving to where our new home would be. I was getting kinda worried.
What if I didn't make friends, what if no one liked me, what if I still got jumped by Socs? Collen must of noticed that I was anxious.

" Hey, kid, calm down, it'll be fine. I don't know what you're thinkin' 'bout, but I know it's about movin', so just calm down. Everything will be fine. We'll be back in a year or two, calm down. " he said, comforting me.

" I know, I know, I'm just going to miss my friends. " I said.

" They'll be here when you come back, calm down, please. " he said.

" Okay, okay, you're right. " I said breathing in and out.

" See. " he said.

" Yeah, thanks. Where are we living anyway? " I asked.

" Uh, it's a small house, but bigger then this one. " he said, thinking about it for a second.

" I can't wait to see it. Wait, do we have our own rooms? " I asked, realizing that I could have my own room.

" Yeah, they're across the hall though, so you ain't gettin' rid of me that easy. " he said with a smirk.

" Oh, dang it, what ever will I do now? " I said acting over dramatic.

" You wanna play some poker, like ol' days, since we got a while? " Collen said placing the baseball he was throwing to himself on the table.

" Y'know I'd never turn down a chance to beat my brother in something. " I said, smirking.

" Yeah yeah, let me get the cards. " he stated, walking out and downstairs to get the cards. My brother and I used to play poker all the time while our parents worked.

" Okay, I got it. I think this is the deck you drew on with a crayon one time, cause you didn't have the right card to win go fish. " he said walking back into the room.

" Oh right, I forgot. We promised to never speak of that again. " I said, annoyed.

" Eh, I think it's funny. " he said smirking.

" Mhm. " I said crossing my arms and rolling my eyes.

" C'mon let's just play. " he insisted. We started to play, and Collen was beating me.

" You're not beating me! " I yelled.

" We'll see. " he said with a smirk. We kept on playing and playing, until we came to a winner, me.

" Ha, told you Collen! " I yelled in celebration.

" Yeah, yeah, whatever. " he said, crossing his arms.

" I'm kidding, I just wanted to say that. " I said.

" Yeah, I know. " he said laughing.

" Kids, I'm home! Y'all ready? " we heard our dad yell up.

" Dad! " we both exclaimed as we ran out the door. I hadn't seen my dad in ages, I was so happy. I ran down the stairs so fast you would of thought a murders was after me. I ran into my dads arms and hugged him super tight.

" Hey, baby, I haven't seen you in what felt like years. " my dad said happily.

" I know, but I'm happy you're back. " I said hugging tighter.

" You're brother been taking care of you? " he asked.

" Eh, he's not so bad. " I said sarcastically with a laugh.

" She's been a handful. " my brother said hugging my dad.

" Well y'all ready to go? " my dad asked.

" Yes! " we both exclaimed.

" Alright, go get your things and get in the car while I go get my things and change into better clothing. " my dad ordered. Collen and I ran to get our things and said bye to our old room, then ran down to the car and put our things in the trunk.
My brother and I got in the car, and buckled up.

" I'm so excited. " I said.

" I can tell. " Collen said smiling and laughing.

" I'm going to miss my hometown though. " I said with a kinda sad tone.

" Well say your goodbyes cause you won't see this town for a good year at least. " he said.

" Yeah, I know, goodbye Tulsa. " I sadly said. My dad came walking out to the car, placing his things in the trunk, and getting in the driver seat.

" Off we go. " he said as he started the car.

" Off we go. " I repeated in a less joyful tone.

" Say goodbye to the house. " my sad said looking over at the house.

" Bye house! " Collen and I said, waving bye to our childhood home as we drove off. Well, here we go, my break from Tulsa has begun.
I fell asleep for most of the ride, since it was kinda late at night. I woke up to my brother shaking my arm.

" There's the middle school you'll be goin' to Connie. " Collen said pointing out the window.

" Wow, it's so big. " I said, still drowsy with sleep.

" Yeah, it's amazing isn't it. " Collen agreed. Then we continued driving, I saw a bunch of things on the way to our new house. I saw the town park, schools, and stores. It looked like a nice and beutiful town.
After a few minutes, we pulled up to our new house. It looked like two stories, and it was an okay house. It wasn't any Soc mansion, but it was a good house. I liked it.
I got out of the car and grabbed my luggage, and it was finally time to see my new house on the inside. I walked in and looked around. It was amazing.
The kitchen was a good size and had everything that was needed, and the living room was pretty big, with a nice TV. I ran upstairs to see my room, it was the last room on the right. I walked in, and instantly loved it.
I had a decent size closet, a nice twin bed, and a TV. It was perfect, I even had a fluffy rug that I instantly layed down on.

" I see you like your room. " My brother said standing in my doorway.

" Like it, no, I don't like it, it's perfect. " I joyfully stated.

" Well I hate to cut your time short, but you better get in bed, you start your new school tomorrow. " he said.

" Okay fine. " I groaned getting up and walking into the bathroom to get ready. I was going to like it here, I could just tell.
