Connie's P.O.V

I walked into the Gun store, and walked up to the counter.

" Aren't you a little young to be in a gun store all alone? " the cashier asked.

" Yeah, I was just wondering if you had the shooting ranges open today. " I said looking up at the teenage boy.

" Yeah, there open almost every day. " he said.

" Do you happen to have anyone shooting back there by the name Kaitlyn? " I asked.

" Yeah, she came in here 'bout an hour ago. The red head, right? " he asked.

" Yeah, that's her. " I said happily.

" You can go back there if you want, but ask one of the employees before you try and talk to Kaitlyn. Their outback on the outdoor shooting range. " he informed.

" Okay, thank you. " I said as I walked to the back door of the store. I opened it up and walked outside.

" That ain't fair! " some dude yelled.

" It's fair, you're just mad you lost. " Kaitlyn said looking down range at her perfect shot.

" Why you little! I could shoot circles around you all day. " the man snapped as he walked towards Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn grabbed thean by the collar of his shirt, and glared at him dead in the eyes.

" I'm not in the mood to deal with you right now, old man. So, unless you want to be down range, and my gun pointed at your head from back here, I suggest you knock it off. " Kaitlyn said, hate in her eyes. It was like a flame that threatened to burn brighter and hotter, like it was just waiting to burn the man alive.

" Okay, okay, chill. Here's your twenty bucks you crazy lady. " the man said as he handed Kaitlyn twenty bucks, then quickly walked in the other direction, glancing over his shoulder occasionally. I watched in amazement as Kaitlyn slipped the twenty in her jean jacket pocket.

" Who's next? " Kaitlyn asked looking at all the other people on the range. Her eyes, now, had a look of nothingness, just empty. I didn't want to interrupt, but I needed to talk to her.

" Hey Kaitlyn? " I said looking towards her.

" Connie? What are you doing here? " Kaitlyn asked, her emotionless expression turning to confusion.

" I just wanted to talk to you. " I said kinda shyly. Kaitlyn walked over to me, putting her gun in her waistband, and looking around.

" Alright, let's go kid. " she said putting her hands on my shoulders. I followed her off the range through a gate.

" You leavin' already, Kaitlyn! " a girl yelled.

" Yeah, Jessie, cya later. " Kaitlyn yelled back as she held her hand up and waved bye. We walked down the road a short ways.

" So, what'd you want to talk 'bout kid? " Kaitlyn asked looking down at me.

" Nothin' much really, I just wanted to know how you were, y'know with Pony and Johnny goin' missin' over night. " I said.
