Connie's P.O.V
" That's good. " Pony said sitting down on the couch grabbing a book.
" So kid I get to babysit you for a little while. " Two-Bit said messing with Pony's hair.
" C'mon Two-Bit, y'know I don't need a babysitter. I'm old enough to take care of myself. " Pony argued.
" Sure you are. " Two-Bit said sarcastically with a smile.
" I am. " Pony defended.
" Okay, whatever you say big boy. " Two-Bit said putting emphasis on the word big.
" Whatever Two-Bit, I don't need a babysitter. " Pony said going back to reading.
" C'mon Pony, don't you want to at least get out of the house. You can hang with us, it'll be fun. " I said smiling.
" Okay fine, let's go. " he finally agreed. We walked out of the house, and started our journey. We didn't really know where we were going, but we just continued to walk.
" Where we going Two-Bit? " Laura asked.
" Not too sure, we're just walking. " Two-Bit said smiling, and all of us laughed. Eventually we stopped outside a building, so Pony and Two-Bit could smoke.
" Hey what y'all doin' here? " a voice said from around the corner. I turned to see Kaitlyn and Samantha.
" Hey y'all. We were just standing here, since we didn't know what else to do. What are y'all doing here? " Pony said looking over at the two girls.
" We just came from the bar down the street. " Samantha said smiling. Samantha was fifteen, and had medium length brown hair. She also had eyes that looked like a forest, they were so green. She was real funny and humorous, but if you got on her bad side she could have a temper.
Her parents were nice and worked hard to provide for Samantha, and her two younger siblings." How much did you have to drink? " Laura said looking over at the two girls.
" Not much, actually. Hardly any, just a beer. " Kaitlyn said. Kaitlyn was also fifteen, and had pretty long bright red hair. Her eyes were like a hazel color. She was funny, but she could sure have one nasty temper. She never really knew when to keep her mouth shut.
Samantha and Kaitlyn were real similar, it was probably the reason they got along so well. Laura usually went around town with them. She tried her best to keep the two out of trouble, but it wasn't always easy." Something makes me doubt that. " Laura said, a look of disbelief on her face.
" Oh c'mon Laura, ease up. We ain't that irresponsible. " Kaitlyn exclaimed as she messed up Laura's hair, and threw her arm around her shoulders.
" Yeah, jeez Laura. We ain't like Two-Bit here. " Samantha said throwing her arm in Two-Bit's direction.
" Hey, what's that supposed to mean? " Two-Bit asked.
" That you drink too much. " Pony chimed in, as he put his cigarette out.
" I have to watch all of you. " Laura said with a small laugh.
" Y'all wanna walk with us? " Pony asked.
" Sure, little man. " Kaitlyn said.
" I ain't little. " I heard Pony mumble under his breath. We continued our walk through out town.
" How have you been, Connie? " Kaitlyn asked from behind me.
" I've been good, real good actually. " I said.
" Good. " she said. We walked all the way to the DX, and decided to stop in and say hi to Soda and Steve. Steve was Soda's best friend, his ride or die.
Steve had dark brown greased back hair. His eyes were brown, and he was tall. He loved working on cars, and he was real good at it too.
Soda looked like someone right out of a movie. His hair was a dark brown, and his eyes were a light blue. He worked the cash register, and occasionally helped Steve with cars. He was usually the talk of the town, mainly when girls were the ones talking." Hey Sodapop. " Pony said as we walked in.
" Hey y'all. " Soda said looking up from the magazine he was reading.
" What brings y'all here? " he asked.
" Just stopping by. " Two-Bit said.
" Where's Steve? " Samantha asked with a smile.
" In his normal spot, in the garage. " Soda said rolling his eyes and smirking. Samantha walked back to the garage. Her and Steve were real good friends, they had known each other for a while.
" How have things been here? " I asked.
" Quite slow, which is both good and bad. Gives Steve time to catch up, but it also means I'm bored out of my mind. " he explained with a sigh at the end.
" Getting payed to sit and read a magazine, don't sound too bad to me. " I said with a small laugh.
" That's true. So y'all doing anything? " Soda asked resting his chin in his hand.
" No, just came to see how hard you were working. Let me tell you, it ain't too hard. " Kaitlyn said with a laugh as she sat on the counter.
" Well I didn't know I would have inspectors coming today. " Soda said with a smirk.
" Well you're lucky none did, or else you would be dead meat. " she said with a smirk of her own.
" Kaitlyn leave the poor boy alone. " Laura said.
" You can't make me, but because I'm nice, I'll stop. " Kaitlyn said smiling and raising her eyebrows.
" Well we better be leaving, we dont want to disturb Soda's hard work. " Two-Bit said playing along with Kaitlyn's joke from earlier.
" Y'all aren't going to quit are you? " Pony said slightly annoyed.
" Nope!! Who wants to get Samantha? " Two-Bit asked looking over at Kaitlyn.
" Okay fine. " she said with a sigh. We waited for her to eventually come back with Samantha, then said bye to Soda, and left. We didn't want to go home yet, so we continued to walk back towards are neighborhood.
