Connie's P.O.V

" How old are y'all? " the other Soc girl asked.

" Fourteen. " Pony said.

" Sixteen. " Johnny said shyly.

" Thirteen. " I said.

" Okay. " she said.

" So Connie, what's your life like? " Cherry asked.

" Um, well I live with my dad and my older brother. My mom died a few years ago. " I wasn't sure what to say.

" Oh, that's awful, I'm sorry. " she said with a soft smile.

" How come y'all ain't scared of us like you were Dally? " Johnny asked.

" You two are too sweet to scare anyone. First of all, you didn't join in Dallas's dirty talk, and you made him leave us alone. And when we asked you to sit up here with us, you didn't act like it was a invitation to make out for the night. Besides that, I've heard about Dallas Winston, and he looked hard as nails and twice as tough. And you three don't look mean. " Cherry said sweetly.

" Sure, we're young and innocent. " Pony said with a sigh.

" No, not innocent. You've seen too much to be innocent. Just not dirty. " Cherry explained looking closely at Pony.

" Dally's okay. He's tough, but he's a cool old guy. " Johnny said, standing up for his friend.

" He'd leave you alone if he knew you. " Pony said.

" Yeah, Dally's been through a lot. He likes to have fun, and what he did, is his way of having fun. " I said.

" Well, I'm glad he doesn't know us. " the other girl said.

" I kind of admire him. " Cherry stated. We all sat for a few minutes, peacefully watching the movie. We found out the other girls name was Marcia. The two girls originally came with their boyfriends, and they had been drinking. They got mad at each other, and the girls decided to watch the movie alone.

" I don't care if they did. It's not my idea of a good time to sit in a drive-in and watch people get drunk. " Cherry said, annoyed.

" Okay greasers, you've had it. " I heard a voice say. Johnny, Pony, and I all jumped, Cherry and Marcia were a little startled as well. We all looked over, and there was Two-Bit.

" Glory, Two-Bit, scare us to death!! " Pony said. Johnny turned white, the poor kid, Two-Bit scared him half to death.

" Hey Two-Bit. " Johnny weakly said.

" Sorry kid, I forgot. " Two-Bit said, a look of empathy in his eyes. He knew he scared Johnny half to death, and he felt bad too.

" Who's this, your great-aunts? " Two-Bit said motioning to Cherry and Marcia.

" Great-grandmothers, twice removed. " Cherry said, a since of confidence and pride to her voice.

" Shoot, you're ninety-six if you're a day. " Two-Bit said with a cocked eyebrow.

" I'm a night. " Marcia said with a smile.
