After a few minutes of silence, I started talking again. "I have had to raise Thalia without her Mother, which was very had. But I would not change anything. Thali is my world and I will do anything for her."

"Did you love Hannah?" she asked quietly. "I did love her, but I never loved her the way I loved you and Hannah knew that and was fine with it," I said before taking another big breath. "In the last couple of days before she passed. She said that Thali needed a Mother that would love her, and she also told me to find you.

But I never could bring myself to come back." I said. "Hiccup..." I faintly hear her say. "I am so incredibility sorry about Hannah. And that I should have never jumped to the conclusions like I did." She whispered.

Astrid's Pov:

"Then 3 years ago all of my friends that I lived with on the Edge had pointed me as their Chief. And I knew that as a Chief I had to get married. So, despite my feelings for you I had to ask Hannah to marry me, then we got married. 9 months later she gave birth to our beautiful baby girl who we called Thalia." He explained.

I had started to pull away from him, he was a 'WIFE' and 'CHILD'. I stood up and walked closer to the edge of the cliff. I did not know what to say or how to feel about this all. Was he leading me so he could have some fun while he is stuck here on Berk,

"You knew you had a Daughter and a Wife out there and you are now here cuddling up to me and kissing me while they are at the Edge. What are you doing Hiccup? What game are you playing?" I yelled as I turned around to face him with tears in my eyes. Toothless jerked his head up when he heard me yell at Hiccup. Hiccup stood up and he tried to reach out for me, but I just moved away from his reach.

"How do you think this makes me feel Hiccup," I said still yelling at him. "Astrid please let me explain." He said. "Explain what Hiccup. That you are married and that you have a child. Did you think that you could tear with me before you left in a few days huh?" I went to leave and walk back down towards the village when I felt him grab my arm.

"Astrid you need to hear the rest of the story for you to understand." He said. I could not look at him. "Let go off me Hiccup. I don't want to hear anyone." I said trying to pull my arm free from his grip. "But you have to Astrid." Hiccup said trying to get me to look at him. I had stopped trying to get away from him, thinking should I let him carry on explaining or should I carry on walking away.

"A month after Hannah gave birth to Thalia, she became extremely sick. She was so sick that she was bedridden and couldn't even hold her little girl." He said trying to keep his voice from breaking which I knew he was failing at. I felt him let go of me and heard him walk back towards we once were sitting.

I turned around to see him sitting on the edge of the cliff with his feet dangling over the edge. I just stood there and watched him try to gather his thoughts before I heard me talk again. "Hannah..." He started to say but could not bring himself to carry on talking. I walked over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder as I sat down beside him.

"What happened Hiccup?" I asked barley in a whisper. "Hannah kept getting sicker and sicker each day until she passed away." He said.

After a few moments of silence, Hiccup started to talk again. "I have had to raise Thalia without her Mother, which was very had. But I would not change anything. Thali is my world and I will do anything for her."

"Did you love Hannah?" I asked quietly. "I did love her, but I never loved her the way I loved you and Hannah knew that and was fine with it." He said before taking another big breath. "In the last couple of days before she passed. She said that Thali needed a Mother that would love her, and she also told me to find you. But I never could bring myself to come back." He said trying to keep his tears a bay.

"Hiccup..." I faintly said. "I am so incredibility sorry about Hannah. And that I should have never jumped to the conclusions like I did." I whispered. I felt so bad for how I reacted, and I could see the tears on his face. I bought my hand up to his face and turned him to face me. "Oh Hiccup," I said as I wiped his tears away.

"I'm so sorry Astrid, the only reason why I married Hannah is that I had convinced myself that I would never see you again." He said. "Hey, hey it is okay Hiccup. If I was in your position, I would have done the same thing." I said with a smile. "Tell me more about Thalia. What is she like?" I asked.

"About a week ago we celebrated her 3rd birthday. She looks so much like Hannah part from her hair, she has my hair colour and my eyes. She has everyone wrapped around her finger." He said with a smile on his face. "She sounds wonderful. I wish to meet her one day." I said. "I would like that a lot and I'm sure Thali would like that too."

"What is her full name Hiccup?" I asked. "Her name is Thalia Astra Haddock. I named her middle name after you." He said. "You name her middle name after me?" I asked surprised. He just nods his head. "Come on we should get back to the village before it gets late." He said. He stood up and offered me his hand to help me up. We then headed back towards the village with Toothless following.
