Chapter 13

Hiccup's Pov:

Astrid and I were walking through the village when Snoutlout came marching up to us. "I challenge you to a fight for the Heir of Berk and Astrid's hand in marriage," Snoutlout yells outgaining the attention of some people including my Father. "Wait for what?" I heard from Astrid say.

Just as I was about to say something when Sharpshot landed in front of me. Everyone that had gathered around during Snoutlout's outburst had jumped back and pulled out their weapons. "Put down your weapon everyone Sharpshot will not hurt you," I said,

"Hiccup I have a letter for you from Heather," Sharpshot said. I bet down to untie the letter from his leg. "Thanks, Sharpshot. Rest up but stay close I will have a letter for you to take back once I am done here." I said. "Of course, Hiccup."

"Son, you have to give Snoutlout an answer or we take it as you yield, and you will lose Astrid and being the Heir." My Father said making me look up at him. I felt Astrid grab my arm and pulled me closer to her. "Fine you want to fight Snoutlout then you get one. Just tell me where and when." I said to my cousin.

"At the arena in one hour," Snoutlout yelled over his shoulder as he heads to the arena to prepare for the battle. Everyone went back to what they were doing beforehand. "You don't have to go through with this Hiccup," Astrid said to me.

"Yea. Yea I do Astrid. I won't let you marry Snoutlout." I said. I then remembered the letter that Sharpshot had delivered when my Father said, "We will see you in an hour Hiccup." Then he left leaving Astrid and me with Toothless sitting beside me. I then opened the letter.

Hiccup,

Where are you? We are worried when you didn't come back after your flight on Toothless last night. And got even more worried when you still didn't show up this morning. We need you to come back ASAP, Thali is running a high fever and has a sore stomach. She is also asking for you. Hurry back Hiccup.

Heather,

"Hiccup are you alright?" Toothless asked me seeing the worried look on my face. "Thali is running a high fever and not feeling well. What happens if it is the same sickness that Hannah had. I cannot lose Thali." I said to Toothless. "Hiccup... Hiccup..." I hear Astrid call out my name.

"What is wrong?" She asked. I could not say anything, so I just passed her the letter that Heather sent me. "I can't lose her Astrid she means everything to me," I said to Astrid. "Hiccup I am sure she is going to be fine. But just in case why don't you get Heather to bring here so Gothi can check her out. It is better to be safe than sorry." She said.

"I'm going to go and write Heather back. The sooner I send it off the soon she will get it and can arrive tomorrow." I said. I kissed Astrid on the cheek and said, "I will see you in half an hour at the arena." Then walked off towards my room at the Forge.

Once I got to my drawing-room. I quickly wrote a Letter back to Heather saying that if they left in the morning then they will get here in time for Gothi to check Thalia out to make sure she will be okay. "Sharpshot," I called. "Yes. Hiccup."

"Take this letter to Heather and quickly," I said to Sharpshot then sent off back to the Edge. Now it was time for me to go to the arena to fight Snoutlout. I am going must put everything about Thalia out of my mine so I can this fight which should be a piece of cake. "Come on Toothless let's go."

Heather's Pov:

I was sitting in the Clubhouse waiting to hear back from Hiccup with Valka who had a sleeping Thalia in her arms. "How is she?" I asked. "She is not doing too well and she wants Hiccup. Her fever seems to be getting higher which I worried about.
