Eris and her ninja

Chapter 3

Hey guys! I'm going to update my book today and to those who have already read the first chapter...thank you sooo much really appreciate it! If you have any ideas that you feel should be in the story send a message and post it to me.

After battling the wonking beast everyone cheered and kept chanting 'smoke bomb'. The masked hero threw a red ball to the ground and yelled:
"SMOKE BOMB!"

After he disappeared in that stinky cloud of smoke I overheard people talking about the hero:

"Oh man! The ninja is so bruce!"

"Especially when he was killing that giant beast! New monster attack ZING!

They call him ninja...I have to find this guy.

I walked all over town and I couldn't find him.

Then another different monster appeared out of nowhere and was on a rampage. Fortunatley the same guy I was looking for appeared in a smoke bomb.

He was fighting the monster and it was getting dark.

I was sensing a pattern that was just starting.

I hid behind a bush when I saw a young, chubby mortal approach the ninja. I observed closely.

"Whatta ya think of that Howard? I haven't lost my touch." Ninja said proudly.

"Heh...you needed practice with this one. By the way why didn't this monster have any stank on it?"

They both viewed the lifeless monster body.

"Where is the stank? These monsters just keep coming out of nowhere. There must be another sorcerer in town."

"I can help." I spoke up emerging from the bush.

"And you are?" The ninja looked like he was about to ask more questions.

"I-I'm a goddess. I know where those monsters are coming from but I can help you find out why." I was hoping they would accept my help.

Howard walked up to me and looked suspicious.

"Listen purple lady..."

"Eris...call me Eris. And those monsters were meant to stay in tartaruas but now they're in the mortal world-well earth. So we should get to the bottom of this."

"We?" I couldn't tell but I think ninja raised an eyebrow when he said that.

"Well yeah..."

"Would you excuse us for a minute?"

Before I could nod ninja and Howard were quietly discussing this proposal.

I didn't know why but I just blurted out:
"I also have nowhere to stay until I'm allowed to return home."

"Well you can stay at my place if you like", Howard rasised his brows while chuckling.

Yeah not happening.

"Uh ninja would you be kind enough to offer hospitality?" I tried using my charms and persuasion.

"Well I can't. You can't know who I am."

"I'm not from this time! I was born more than six thousand years ago. I'm not meant to be here but I am, so I don't have a choice to stay here or not. We need each other. I know about everything Greek and that includes the monsters attacking your city. So you're stuck with me. And besides, I'm a goddess, I have more secrets than you so you can trust me with your one little secret!"

Okay I was shout all that out but it was a good thing it was just the three of us out here.

They were staring at me like I just said I'm medusa.

(To readers who know little about greek mythology; google it and it will answer every question you have).

"Eris", ninja looked down warily.

"Yes?"

"You can stay with me."

"Yes!" I said softly. "How do we get to your temple?"

"Just hold on close to me."

I did as he said and Howard tried holding on to me. I'm starting to think I should have told him the truth about why I'm really here. I'll tell him tomorrow morning.

He dropped a cloud of smoke and the next thing I know I'm in front of a house.

Howard went to the house next door and ninja carried me to a window in the house that I assumed was his. When we were inside I saw that it was a bit messy.

"Um why didn't we just use the front door?

"Nobody can know that..."
He took off his mask and then the rest of his suit disappeared.
"...I'm the ninja."

I have to say he did not look bad for a mortal. It was a first time for me to see more than his eyes. His hair seemed to be combed all the way to the front. He looked seventeen-ish.

He looked tired so he climbed up the ladder of his double up bed and I went to sleep on the bottom bed. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
