After the portal closed and we peeped to take a look, what I saw put a smile on my face. I walked closer to the creature but then I realized it was unconscious. I emerged from the couch and I wanted to see what was wrong with her.
"Eris no!" Randy whispered harshly as he held my hand trying to stop me.
"It's ok, I know her", I replied. I picked her up and took her upstairs. Randy and Howard quickly followed.
"You WHAT?!" They said in unison.
"Yeah", I dragged dropping her on the beanbag.
"Her na–"
"Woah hold on a second... it's a she?" Howard interrupted. After glaring at him and then him getting the idea to shut up I continued.
"Her name's Sfiga and she's my best friend back at Olympus".
"But now it's us right?" Randy asked.
"Uh..."
Fortunately Sfiga started groaning as her eyes slowly opened.
"Sfiga?" I leaned in closer to her so that I could be ready for when she tries to stand.
When her eyes were fully opened she first noticed me. I must've been smiling in relief because she was smiling back. I gave her a warm comforting hug.
"Eris! You don't know how relieved I am to see you after weeks. Everything felt so dull without you unintentionally causing disaster!"
I laughed at that truth because it made so much sense. Whenever I wasn't around there wasn't much to talk about.
"So I'm assuming everyone celebrated my exile?" I asking looking like I didn't want to know the answer to that question. I feared that they weren't planning on bringing me back.
"What do you mean by exile?" Sfiga gave a confused look. "They decided to summon you back".
"What?!"
"You're... going back?" Randy asked in what seemed like displeasure. Howard on the other hand seemed fascinated by Sfiga.
"Eris you never told us one of your pets was a talking cat! She looks so bruce!" Howard exclaimed as he approached Sfiga wanting to stroke her.
The second he came closer Sfiga hissed then growled at him. He screamed in fear then went behind Randy for his protection who was also frightened.
"I AM NOT A...PET!" She growled at them.
"Sfiga! Be nice...they helped me learn to get by in this new era".
"New era?! Where are we?!" She looked around the room.
"It's the same world just thousands of years after our time in Olympus".
She took a look at the boys.
"Are they...?"
"They're mortals".
"Well mortals have changed big time, starting from their looks and clothes... scrawny and messy", she snorted.
"Hey we're not that bad! We can looked after ourselves", Howard was obviously offended.
"Eris are you really gonna go back?", Randy asked in a sad tone.
"She has to go home, it's where she belongs", Sfiga answered for me.
"No it's not... she's treated like a monster back then, but now around here she's a hero".
"Well that's not who she is...right Eris?"
I didn't know what to say at this moment. Should I go or should I stay? Sfiga has a point, I have to be who I am: the goddess of chaos. But Randy is right, I might never be accepted if I go back. The other Gods and Goddesses won't change the way they treat me.
What do I do?!
