chapter eighteen: the dance

Marinette pov ..
The next day had arrived and it was a beautiful morning?? I couldn't believe that tonight was the big dance ?? My boss Adrien agreste a big fashion designer was going to be hosting for the first time this year ?? This was a special ans important day to him ?? I made sure that I woke up early and was ready to be there in case they need any extra help tonight ??

I looked around as I walked into the night building once again ?? It looked like a castle of sweets and full of beauty?? I couldn't believe my eyes for one second?? I looked around and the place just looked so beautiful??
I headed to my desk to place my things down that I brought for the dance tonight ?? I had even made my own dress just for the dance ?? I wanted to make sure that I still dress nice just in case ?? Which reminds me that yesterday when Adrien gave me that flower and said my hair and eyes were beautiful I blushed harder than I have ever did before??

Before I worked here I would always think about the meaning of love and what it truly makes someone fall in love with someone else??

I didn't think that it would ever happen to a girl like me ?? I'm ordinary?? I'm not fancy and I'm certainly not beautiful so why did Adrien like me ??  That's is all that I could think about ?? His words yesterday inspired me that maybe beauty doesn't have to come on the outside ?? It can also be in the inside as well??
Now I get it that's what he meant ? Well he is very thoughtful I say ??

Meanwhile with Adrien....

Adrien POV..
Today was the day ?? I want this dance to be perfect but also this is the day that I prove everyone wrong about marinette?? She is a kind and thoughtful girl ?? And yes I want to be with her ?? What's is so bad about that ?? My dad isn't happy because she isn't rich and beautiful but I think so ?? She has been nothing but kind to me ?? Ever since we met at her college exams ?? She was so determined to follow her passion and her dream?? Not once has she given up and neither will I??

I want this day to be perfect for the both of us ?? My co workers and I will make this event go well I swear it ?? I wonder will marinette wear something cute to the dance?? Oh wait nevermind that ?? The real question is ? Is my father coming to this event ? If he is what am I going to do about marinette and I?? I cant lie to him ?? He is my father ?? I have to tell him the truth sooner or later ??

I dont want him to hold grudges against his own son ?? Marinette was right back then ?? He isn't a jerk he is just harsh when it comes to love ?? I wonder if he was like towards my mom ?? That would have been funny and amazing at the same time ?? I should probably go check out the decorations and details about tonight's event ??

He looked up as his mother panting and smiled and said " mom tonight I'm not going to hold back anymore?? I want to tell dad and the girl of my dreams how I truly feel ?? I hope you were here to help me though? I know it won't be easy but I'm ready for that challenge? I love you mom and I hope your okay up there " he smiled before walking out of his office ...
