chapter forty-six you and me

Adrien pov...
*Sighs* I have always appreciated the little things in life. Especially when I finally got someone to share it. I know i explained why I appreciated Marinette and my beautiful young daughter.
So sometimes I do look back on some of my past relationships and realized I wasn't really in love with sny of those terrible woman. They were only there for my money and my company. But finally when I met Marinette she was so different from all of the girls.  She was kind and very respectful. And she would always look at the bright things of life instead of the negative.

Once I got down on my knees to ask her to marry her. She started to cry and grace smiled and pulled her closer to me. The words I said made her eyes water. I promise you it wasn't bad. But I meant every word to her and grace. There is nothing that I don't love about them both. 

I adore there smiles and there support about everything. It means the world to me. So as i woke up I looked down at my buzzing phone once again. It was a text from Marinette. At first I thought i was dreaming but no it was real.

Marinette:" good morning adrien? Are you awake yet. Can we meet-up somewhere really quickly?"

I responded to her with a couple of things of course.

Adrien :" good morning to you to. Hey sure where do you want to meet up my love?"

She responded really quickly....

Marinette :" can we meet at " Cuties" please?"

I smriked and responded for the last time before getting ready to get dressed.

Adrien:" sure my love see you in a bit."

Meanwhile with Marinette and grace....

As i was texting adrien back and forth. I started to get ready. Once I got ready I slowly woke up grace. And startrd to get her dressed to go by Alya's housr for a bit. So once we finally got out of the house. I dropped off and met up with adrien. Once he saw me he ran up to me and gave me a hug. It was so cute and adorable.

As we walked up into the café we both started to talk to each other.

Adrien" so what was so important that you wanted to talk to me Marinette? Is something wrong? Do you not like the ring I bought or was it something wrong with the size or-?"

Marinette " no adrien the ring is perfect just like you. It isn't what I texted you this moring. It is about something else. *Sighs* since you proposed to me you have to meet my parents and ask for there blessing."

*Adrien smiles and holds her hand gently *

Adrien " Marinette i know . We both have to tell our parents that we want to get married to each other. I know that process may seem a lot to you but i believe we can do it. Just like we did when we told grace that we were adopting her as a couple. Do you remember the look in her eyes and the expression of her face? She was really happy to be there with the both of us. I think we should do this from our own benefit and not anyone else's."

Marinette looks at adrien and starts to giggle. And kneels down with him on her knees. She starts to speak slowly as she come up with a plan about there engagement.

Marinette " adrien I know you want us to get married. But I still think we need our parents blessings. Your dad said yes to you. Did he tell you why he was against us getting or being together in the first place?"

Adrien" yes he did. He told me that he didn't want me to get hurt by someone like you. But in the end all he wanted was for me to be happy. But he knew that i wasn't happy until you came and starred to work for me as an employee. We became closer as friends, co workers and even lovers. My dad thought you would fall in love with me and then take all of my company and other things that aren't really important to me."

*Marinette sighed and smiled at adrien*

Marinette " i have to say though that your dad didn't really like me at the beginning either huh?"

Adrien" yeah by the way of his expression im pretty sure he didn't like you at first. But then when you all started to get more familiar it was like a really good thing. For him to see especially because he would never believe what I say. He is the kind of man who needs to see things from his own eyes."

*Marinette smirks and stands up and walks inside of her apartment.  Adrien get's up and follows her. Once they were inside they sat in the couch and started to talk some more*

Marinette " adrien there is one thing I never got to ask. But I hope you don't mind. How did your mother pass away? If you don't mind me asking?"

Adrien " oh yeah I didn't tell you about that did I. Well my mother passed away from a disease. But I don't think that was the case. On that day my mother was perfectly fine when she left home with my father. But when she came back all ofcthe doctors were saying that she is in critical pain and condition.
   At first i didn't think any of it was real. Until I saw them trying to revive her back to life. It was the most painful thing to watch as a eight year old boy has to watch his mother get revived. At that moment i was completely blinded by waht i thought was good news but instead was bad news. I tried my hardest to vist her everyday but I was tool late. She passed away on my 9th birthday. Closing her eyes as I officially became nine years old.."

* Marinette holds his hand and rubs it *

Marinette " im really sorry about your mom. But your right she would have been happy for you ti make your own decisions about what yiu want in life. Especially when it comes to somone you want to spend your last dying breath's with. I will always bd here for you adrien. I knkw I am your employee and now your finance but I really do care about you. This is about you and me no matter what happens I love you and grace and that's all that matters to me now."

Dear diary,
Today I learned more about Adrien's mother Emilie. Apparently she didn't die like his father told him. She was exposed to something that day that made her externally sick. I just wish that she would be able to come and watch her son get married for me for real.
