*Y/n POV*

"Hey, what's going on?" I asked Ventus, coming up behind her, "The plaza's never usually this busy."

"Master Ava is giving some kind of speech," She said, craning her neck to look over the crowd, "I can't really catch it from over here."

She was right to be sure. Over the light din of the crowd and the distance between us, I couldn't hear a word she said. However with her body movements and the way she stood above everyone, I could tell she was saying something important.

"Well whatever it is, there's no point shoving through this crowd just to hear it," I said, "I'll find her after this and ask what's going on."

"Whatever it is, I doubt the other master's are not going to be happy," Ven sighed, "I fear that this whole town is going to be destroyed."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Have you not been paying attention?"

"I've... been busy. My memories are still missing and I feel like a piece of my heart has been torn out and hidden. So no, I haven't been paying attention to what's been happening with the factions."

"Right, sorry." She said, looking down and away from me.

"It's fine, I'm just tired and a little tight-strung right now," I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding, "So, what's going on with the factions?"

"Oh, of course," She said, looking back at me, "There's a rumor going around that one of the faction leaders is a traitor. Nobody knows quite which one it is though."

"Right," I sighed, "Just great. They're gonna start a war for light's sake."

"What? A war?"

"Just wait," I said, noticing that Ava was beginning to walk away and the crowd was beginning to speak among themselves, "I'm going to speak to her, stay here."

I swam through the crowd, dodging in between all the keyblade wielders that had joined in the plaza. I came out the other end on an empty street, watching with the other keyblade wielders as Ava walked away.

"Ava, wait up!" I shouted, waving at her.

"Y/n?"

I ran up at caught up to her, well out of ear shot for anyone to hear us. I leaned in close just in case, and whispered.

"I didn't catch anything," I said, "But... what were you talking about that got all these people riled up?"

"Y/n..." She said, looking down, "I'd like to apologize to you first for what's about to come."

"What's about to come? What do you mean by that?"

"A lot is going to change soon Y/n," She said, "And you may be asked to leave your friends behind."

"What are you talking about? I'd never leave my friends behind."

"I'm sorry Y/n..."

She suddenly pushed me back and turned away, stepping off at a brisk pace. I watched her leave in confusion, nothing she had said truly sinking in.

"Everything's about to change..."
