*Fira POV*

I came to rapid stop in front of the Master's Tower, landing and feeling the solid ground beneath me. Looking out I could see the night sky stretching for forever, despite the fact that it had been morning in the other world.

I walked past the amazing view and towards the tower, preparing myself mentally for the ridiculous climb that I should've become accustomed to at this point.

I forced the wooden door inwards and looked up, staring straight into the hellish climb that I would have to partake. Still, I must, so I shall.

[Timeskip]

"Huff... hah... f*ck... this... tower..."

Letting out one final huff and catching my breath, I stepped up to the wooden door that was my Master's study. He was sure to be in here, as he always was, but I knocked out of habit anyway.

"Enter." I heard from behind the door.

I pushed the old wooden door open, the creaking of the old iron hinges a familiar and comforting sound.

"Ah Fira," A familiar old man's voice greeted, "Good to see that your travels were swift and safe."

"Thank you Master Yen Sid," I replied, "I came as soon as I received your letter. Has something happened?"

"Not yet, but I fear darkness is beginning to grow," He looked down at his desk and back up to me, "I have a mission for you."

"Whatever it is Master. I will complete this mission with perfection."

"I would expect nothing less of you," Yen Sid replied, "We must complete your Mark of Mastery exam. Keyblade Masters must be prepared to fight the darkness before it can conquer all worlds."

"I will not let you down Master."

*Y/n POV*

Skuld, Ephemer, and I sat on the edge of one of the many buildings in the town, each of us eating a bar of ice cream. This ice cream flavor had just recently swept across the town, both salty and sweet at the same time. Pretty good.

As I looked at my friends out of the corner of my eyes, the awkward silence starting to grind my soul into dust, I noticed that Ephemer had not yet even licked his ice cream.

"Ephemer?" I asked, turning to my best friend, "What's wrong?"

There was another moment of silence, as Ephemer leaned backwards.

"Have either of you heard about the Dandelions?"

"What?" Skuld said, looking up from her ice cream that was almost done, "What in the name of Kingdom Hearts is a Dandelion?"

"Nothing important," He sighed, "I have a feeling you guys will find out anyway."

Ephemer swung his legs around so they were on the roof of the building, and stood up. He stretched his arms and stood up, not looking back at us.

"I'm tired. I'm gonna go home."

"Alright," I said, "See you tomorrow?"

"Sure. You guys have fun."

He walked off back towards his house, and Skuld and I watched him go. I stood up shortly after he left, the mood having been soured.

"I'm gonna go home too. I...have a long day planned tomorrow."

"Y/n..."

I turned and met eyes with Skuld, who walked towards me. She wrapped her arms around me and engulfed me in a hug.

"...Skuld?"

"I'm scared, Y/n. Things are changing, and people are beginning to get angrier. There's so much fighting between the unions, and no one wants to stop."

"Skuld..."

"Just... be safe."

She released me from the hug and I felt her peck my cheek before walking away, leaving me alone on he top of the building.

"Ava, what the hell are you doing?"
