*Fira POV*

I stepped into Master Eraquis' room, greeted by his back facing out of a window. Master Xehanort was sitting nearby, tapping his foot against the ground.

"I hope you won't mind," Eraquis said, turning to face me, "I invited Xehanort to hear this. Figured if it was as important as it seemed, we should all be knowledgeable."

"Of course," I replied, giving a shot bow to both masters, "It's for the best anyway."

"So what is this warning Yen Sid has sent you for?" Xehanort said, shifting one leg onto the other.

"Master Yen Sid believes that the Darkness is rising again."

Both masters froze, seemingly unfazed. However it was clear that they were both blindsided by the news, and their muscles tensed slightly.

"I-is he sure?" Eraquis asked, "If so, this is quite serious."

"He wouldn't have sent me if he wasn't sure," I said surely, "He recommends that any potential masters complete their exams as soon as possible. We'll need as many allies as we get if we want to win."

"And what about you?"

"Hm?" I said, turning to Master Xehanort, "What do you mean?"

"Is Yen Sid planning to complete your Mark of Mastery Exam soon? He must have some plan for the brightest keyblade wielder of our time?"

"You flatter me sir," I said, tucking a loose strand of my hair back behind my ear, "But I can only assume he intends to complete my exam soon. And as soon as he does, I swear to continue the fight against darkness."

*Y/n POV*

I came to a stop, looking back and forth down the street. It was surprisingly empty for this time of day, and i found it deeply unsettling.

The day had gone entirely sideways. After my regular class, I sought out my friends to find someone to spend the day with. Ephemer, Skuld, Ventus, even Strelitzia, no one had been there. Even as I checked the least-popular spots in the city, I could not find even a trace of my friends.

It only got weirder as the day went on, and I began to find less and less people. It eventually came to where I was now, in the most popular part of the city, completely alone.

"This... is... bizarre," I observed, turning to face up and down the street, "Is something going on? Where is everyone?"

"They're here," A dark voice said, "The real question is... Where are you?"

I whipped around, pulling out Eclipse End, "Who's there?! Show yourself!"

"Oh but I am," The voice returned, "We are one in the same, bound by the ties between light and dark."

"You don't make any sense," I growled, "Tell me your name!"

"That'd be stupid, Y/n," The voice taunted, "It's much more fun for me if I let you see for yourself."

"You talk in nothing but obscure bull shit," I growled, "If you don't show yourself..."

"What'll you do? Use your keyblade? You don't even know where I am, much less if you can hurt me."

"I'll find you, where ever you are," I threatened, "You can't run."

"Don't want to," The voice replied, "I'm right where I wanna be. Inside you."

Suddenly, a shooting pain shot through my head, and I grabbed at my forehead. I clenched my eyes shut as the pain passed, and when I opened them again the street was full of people. The sun was beginning to sink in the sky, and I could see some of my friends milling around.

"Y/n!" Skuld called, "Come have an ice cream!"

"Just a second!"

I took a second to collect myself, as the voice's last words echoed in my mind.

"...Inside you."
